Mazurka Op. 7 No. 1 in B flat major, - Frédéric Chopin', Pianist George Darden (1943 - 2014),

In 2012 my friend George Darden asked me and Jane Matheny to record the complete Chopin Mazurkas before he lost facility and passed from a terminal illness. Jane and I traveled from Tallahassee to his mountain top home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to make the recordings. I am not a music recording engineer, but with the guidance of my friend Pete Winter I made the recordings and mastered them for a limited CD run. What an honor to be involved in this project. This is just one of the Mazurkas on the two CD set titled "Walking to Chopin." This was a non-commercial passion project for George and I want to share this piece in his honor.
