Please Never change. We love hearing you and Tanya talk in the car while driving thru the awesome countryside and beautiful homes. It's like taking in a wonderful day with your own best friends or family. I love the lovely lunches and cold beer afterwards. Your format is pure genius and stands above ALL the other horse videos.
I am a 71 yo horse lover and always wanted to go to Europe so I thoroughly enjoy your videos including your scenic drives in your part of the world.
I just wanted to say you have a presentation that people love. It's a mix of how you guys do life and we love it! There might be one or two odd man out, but don't let them throw any cold war buckets of water on all the goodness that you bring to the rest of us! We love you guys 🌟 keep doing what you're doing 🤠💖😍🐎🚙😺🏄💃🕺🦜🍕🍔🍝🎶
Don’t change for anyone, I love the explaining of the videos and see your personalities as you travel from place to place . Where you stay and eateries you also go to. Steve’s horsemanship is Awesome, just love all the videos.
I find it informative and friendly to be part of your preparation and road trip prior to the actual training you do with horses. When time, mood or preference is a factor in my watching, I simply jump ahead. I'm sick of rushing through life without feeling connected to various aspects of life.
Don’t take the “other stuff” out of your videos! You’re lovely people and full of positivity. It is clearer with each video that horses, children and dogs crave clear limits and direction. Thank you and happy holidays 🙏💜🇺🇸
She's beautiful and tried so hard for you
I enjoy every moment of your episodes. Live in usually parched Southern California & haven't ridden in over 20 years. Instructor had me on a specially designed bareback pad that "kept" my legs back. No saddle. No stirrups. No reins. Instructor had control via lunge (spelling?) line. I was young, terrified, & happier than I'd ever been. Wanted only to learn English. When I was deemed ready for a saddle, etc., I declined the saddle & used bareback pad with stirrups & reins. Told instructors when I started that I wanted to learn everything I could (I knew the year I had of riding might be all I had). I "caught" the horse I would ride, walked to the post to groom, pick hooves, tack, & mount, then instructor would teach me in the ring. Magical time for me. I was a behavioral sciences major (university degree), working full time & taking part time classes before entering a nursing program. I bonded very closely with the horse I'd ridden so regularly, & grieved for Abi for a long time. Your videos bring me such joy.
I love sharing your day with you. Let others Fast forward if they want just training. I am alone and lonely (not the same thing) , so I enjoy spending time with your family.
I fell in love with Fire!! Even the word beautiful is an insult for her beauty. To me she is beyond words! With the seed you have planted and what the young girl lady was all ready doing with her, is going to do wonderful for the horse! She deserves a very special human to bond with!
Please do not stop the extras. I love seeing the countryside, towns, little shops and restaurants you visit!
I enjoy being part of your lives. I have no family and am housebound so seeing some of your social life, as well as all the gorgeous horses, is a bonus. Good luck in Denmark.
I just always want to leave a comment to help in any way I can. Love your ways, God Bless you
Thank God, there are people like you 🙂♥️
Please don't change a thing I love everything about you guys and your videos ❤
It looks like Fire had a lot of training already on her. She learned very quickly what you were asking of her. Natalie, keep your mind open to LEARNING and nothing can stop you!! You are a great horsewoman in the making!! Great video once again Steve. Thank you for this very informative and helpful video. But you have to work with the horse you have on the day. Best Regards from a Retired Paramedic, a S&R Dog and Handler Team Trainer and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 💖🇨🇦🇬🇧
Hi Jenn! Good to see you here! How are your Standardbreds?
Merry Christmas ~ All the Best in the Year to Come!
Jody
from Florida, raised in Canada
@Jody Huston He's doing very well now. Goes out on hacks and trots out when asked with no issues. Very light contact on the reins prefers contact to be very light with the hands, and responds very well to weight shift in the saddle and leg aids. Bridles up with no problems now as well, where before he was very head shy. I think he was worried about being checked back severely again, but that issue has been resolved with a lot of groundwork and patience over the last 3 yrs with his owner and myself working with him. I'm busy foaling right now. I've had 3 of the 5 mares foal. 2 fillies and 1 colt. Happy New Year to you and your family. May you have Many Blessings in the New Year ahead. Jenn.💖💖
Hello Steve & Tanya (your New Zealand followers). Your videos are so self explanatory Steve. Could watch them for hours. That young girl showed a lot of intelligence in following your instructions. She has a good future. Always love to see where you are going for a meal !! Love to you both.
Love your videos just the way they are. Love getting the backgrounds on who the owners are, what the issues are and your initial preparations before you arrive at the client locations.
I would take that mare in a heartbeat if I lived in England! Once she bonds with a person and trust them she is going to be AMAZING!!!
The mare is an absolute stunner, but only with Steve exercising his, art is she able to form a bond with and respond to humans.
Will you show the buying/appraisal process in Belgium? It would be really interesting to see what you look for in a horse
This is such a wonderful video. All of you giving all of you to help the animals. This young lady is very fortunate to have Steve teaching one on one, and so are the horses that she will help at Many Tears Rescue. I have to say, I just watched the Bondi Vet episode where the vet visited to help with the dogs and cats. This is wonderful. I hope the extra exposure helps all the animals to get adopted faster. This horse, the palomino, is so gorgeous, and so much potential. I loved seeing her settle as her confidence grew. I know you talk about how you are the leader, and I can see that you are teaching her to trust you as the leader, but you also help the horse feel more confident in themselves. Thank you. Oh, And Tanya? Excellent marriage advice!
@spiderkiller64 - yes, Tanya's advice was spot on. I have a similar thought & have said for 2+ decades now: 'Men are like puppies, train early, train often!' 😉
I just can not go without seeing one of your videos! Something about how you illustrate the basics of not just how to deal with horses but it illustrates how they think, feel even at times! It is sort of like a window into what the animal needs, what calms them, and reassures them as to their basic identity. Again thank you! I love seeing where you are going!! Keep it up!
I love going on adventures with you guys, it’s like I’m there with you especially when you go for a delicious meal. keep it up 😊people who complain can always fast forward so don’t know why they have to winge
Please I like to see it all, thanks for taking us along with you. Love the horses and the countryside also. Merry Christmas to all of you. 🎄🎉
beautiful horse, did very well!
You two are the coolest. Thanks for sharing your homestead and life too
We, humans, as a common, have largely lost the art of handling animals due to industrialization and motorization. Nowadays, not everyone is able to properly raise and care for such a powerful animal as a horse. Hence, people, who possess the skill of handling animals are valuable to our society to help us keep our connection to the beautiful beasts that horses are.
I like this group. Actually seems legit. I like their work and can discern their passion for the animals.
Oh Reno bless this is one of the most stunning horses I’ve ever seen. Riding or not what an absolute honor it would be to own him.
Exactly what I thought about that cottage! Love "The Holiday" too❤️
Just watch the videos for my enjoyment..don’t ride a horse but like to learn about how you handle the abused horses.. you always treat with respect and care and that goes a long way to train horses with out fear…you are both legends. ….I’m in Australia…glad it’s not that cold here ….even in winter…take care ❤❤…
I love the time you spend in the car travelling especially as I am disabled and have spent over 3 1/2 years housebound and I love to see the countryside. Thanks very much.
This rescue is awesome, that pony looks in amazing condition
Nooo I love the Chi Chat all part of the fun. And seeing the drive and all the scenery xx
Another great video with lots of clear learning & progress from an amazing rescue centre where they go above & beyond with their animals. Reno looked amazing too. Thanks so much again for sharing this valuable information & thanks to all for the care & time involved. ❤️
I live vicariously through these videos. I’ve always loved horse, but I fear them. I appreciate them this way ❤
What a beautiful horse! Love all your videos. ❤
When just a wee girl in the late 60's all I ever wanted was a beautiful palomino just like this one. Xmas time came & JoJo as I named him arrived complete with western saddle.Although he was only a toy horse which my Cindy dolls got to ride.. I still imagined he was real & loved him very much.x
The young lady is very talented and courageous to handle powerful animals with calm and skill like that.
Definitely love ALL the content of your videos, not just your work with the horses (and owners)! Please keep up showing the great landscapes you‘re driving through, your interactions with Tanya etc. 🙌😍❤️
Trust - Once he gained the horses trust she was obviously given to lead and had no anxiety. She is very smart and has a wonderful disposition when she understands what is expected. She really wants to please and seems to seek a lead she TRUSTS. It will take a little bit of work at her new home but she will be a great addition to any barn. And she's so gentle on the eyes too!
You are wonderful people and I want to adopt you. Fire was a great horse. She was very patient and I think with lots of work she can be helped to a wonderful future. Good luck Sylvia. Those cute dogs should get people soon.
I enjoy seeing you two driving and chitchatting on your way to wherever.
I really enjoy watching you so kind to these animals. Thank you
I had to laugh when you mentioned Montana. Im in NW and it was a beautiful 17 degrees. I do have to say I love how you treat the horses. So humane compared to what I have seen here. I like your style lol. I plan to rescue horses in the future and love your tips.
Good luck and God bless you on your horse rescue mission. We are so lucky to have great teachers like Steve these days - may you have wonderful experiences helping horses. ❤️🙏❤️
Every living creature should have a friend like Steve -- someone who takes the time to understand, to consider, to make sense. There are people who could use the same and never had anyone like that. And we see the immediate effect in these innocent animals who appreciate clarity, good sense and someone taking control of the situation. It's a study in caring, kindness and respect.
I LIVE IN THE WOODS OF MOUNT-DESERT ISLAND ,MAINE.
THO I'M OLDER NOW, I'V WAYS LOVED HORSES🐴
SINCE I WAS LITTLE GIRL
I LIVED IN THE BOSTON. BUT MOVED WTH FAMILY TO MAINE AT 16YR.S OLD.
STILL NO HIRSE. HOWEVER, NOW I'M OLDER, I STILL LOVE THE IDEA OF RIDING., AS I DID THRU LIFE, BUT NOT OFTEN.
I SAID ALL THIS TO SAY
HIW MUCH PLEASURE YOU HAV GIVEN ME TODAY.. MY FIRST TIME FINDING N WATCHING YOUR VIDIOS OF MY LOVE OF HORSES..YOUR VIDIOS KEPT MY ATTENTION ALL THRU THIS DAY
THANK-YOU FOR INTERTAINING MY LOVE N INTERESTS OF HORSE'S.
GOD BLESS YOU BOTH.
ONE DAY AS MENTIONED (IN GODS HOLY BIBLE,BOOK OF ONE THESSALONIANS,
CHAPTER 4 VERSES 13 TO VERSE 18...)
WHICH TELLS HOW WE WILL BE ON HORSES FOLLOWING THE LORD JESUS, AND WILL RETURN WTH JESUS TO THIS EARTH.
PLEASE KNOW, THIS IS GODS WORD ,N BEING WTH HIM IS THE GREATEST OF ALL,
AND THE THE FACT WE'LL BE ON HORSES MAKES ME EXCITED ALSO !!!
That is a stunningly beautiful horse, well done to everyone involved, kindness is always the best.
Love watching your videos. I love hearing the stories and seeing the scenery. I live in California US and it’s always a pleasure seeing where you live and go. Thank you!!
You can tell she's super healthy from all the dappling. She is beautiful. ❤👆
Your assistance with the young lady in this video brought a tear to my eye. It is such a wonderful gift to be passed on and to see it accepted and appreciated. The horse will be benefitted as will the rider. Thank you for sharing.
I love the conversation you share together but yet to us also.. You have a beautiful marriage and you are both so funny!! I love seeing all the different places you take us and especially when you tell us where we are going!! Never rush to get to the horses.. Life is too short to rush. I enjoy theses holidays with you and the work will always follow! Be safe & always ring the bell! 😅
What I love about your videos is the fact there is SO much going on, from the explanations in your car on the way to a case/ job, your quirky senses of humor and how Steve goes serious when he is concentrating when he is addressing issues in a horse( he knows he has to be fully in tune or he could get seriously hurt) His explantions on how and why he does thing are clear. Tanya's filming and chat is refreshing and Im pretty sure she runs the deal behind the scenes so Steve is free to do what he does best! Great team effort! Not forgettinag Char and her husband! Great couple too!
I love your road trips and showing your trips.
i love watching these videos....seeing how quickly a horse learns and gains confidence...easier to manage but more importantly how happy both rider and horse become. all done without hurting or scaring the animal
Who the devil gets upset with the additional bits. I just love looking & hearing this couple. Keep giving us the bits Tanya.
Bondi vet did an episode on Many Tears, it’s really heartbreaking that that many dogs had to be rescued. I’m glad that you’re mentioning them in your video
Love watching the scenery of your travels...almost like being there. Fire is a gorgeous horse with lots of potential.
I have no idea who the younger woman is in this video but I have watched a good number of Steve s videos and have never heard him mention how well she has done working with this horse...THAT is a huge compliment!
Hopefully, by some miracle of Providence, the young lady can take the mare into her care, because she has a bond with that horse.
Wow Tanya you caught the kite beautifully well done. What a gorgeous palomino. I had one up the Halkyn Mountain which was rescued from a riding school for bolting with the kids. He was a bit of a handful but so gentle and tender with little children, just didn't like the old kids jumping on (who thought they could ride) swift small buck as they slid to the ground was a lesson they never forgot.
Your comment reminded me of the school horses I worked with decades ago. They were great with very young riders and would stop as soon as one of them got off balance. Amazing. We had one that would not tolerate ill behaved teenagers. "Do it right or I'm not doin' nuthin' for you!"
I'm glad you talk about the episode and set it up for us, as I can barely hear you during the taping. I wish you guys had microphones!
Two great students there! Natalie and Fire. And it sounds like Steve is talking himself out of taking Fire. Take her Steve! Why wouldn't she be a great replacement for Nita?
I love your life shots. You won my heart- besides just my respect
Been watching a few of your videos. You are a wonderful horse whisperer. You sinc with them and they understand the language and relax. I started training as a 13 year old, (if you want to call it that, after having maybe 10 "english" lessons on "lesson horses" (can do no wrong) and reading all the black stallion books (oh well!). Got hooked up with a horse at a stable that no one ever came to see. He hated people, including me. Of course he really didn't hate people, he just had not been able to be in trust with anyone. I was just stupid enough, lucky enough and determined enough that this horse ended up being my best friend, after he tried everything to get rid of me. I don'[t recommend it, it was really dangerous in hind sight. But, it started that way for me and a long life with horses until the last 10 years or so (injury in the military). Regardless, if that sweetie was in the USA I would go get her. She is a wonderfully sweet horse and will be so balanced when she is complete and confident. She is young, and just needs to find her leader and friend.
And you are a wonderful trainer and role model. And, although I just ate a steak, I got hungry watching that 3 course meal you were about to have. Miss Europe, Love USA, also love EU and UK. God bless you. Merry Christmas and happy new year.
What a beautiful horse!!
Was not expecting that song from ya Steve! Beautiful horse, seems intelligent, learns fast and a lovely disposition. Hope the right owner comes along!!
I thought I saw in one of your old videos, a small section where you had said Reno the Andalusian had passed away! So I was confused to see Reno is here, was I dreaming, I mean I am pleased he’s still here, as I know he has had some Health problems, bless you Reno, you deserve a forever home.
I love the pre story and tidbits you share.
Great job! Thank you for sharing your time and talents. ♥️
Bugger them we love watching the pair of you and sometimes Charlotte aswell as the horses please don’t change your channel is fabulous ❤
Good stuff as always Steve and Tan,I like your video style and find it very interesting.thanks as always
Wow I learned so much from this. Beautiful sweet horse.
When you said you wanted a Quarter horse, that reminded me of my friend that use to let me ride his horse, Monty who was a Quarter horse Palomino....very nice memories. They're sturdy.
I just did my first share to TikTok with this video because of the wonderful work you do with and for horses. Thank you to your wife too who films your work she does a great job. I also hope that there are people out there that can offer a home to some if not all of those animals who are needing a home, I wish I was rich beyond my wildest dreams because I would take them all and then do it all over again.
I love going on your adventures with you! There are people that just can’t relax.
I just love watching your videos. I am 70 yrs old, and loved horses all my life. Unfortunately, I only owned one, and that was for a very brief time. I had talked my father into letting me buy a horse a friend had told me about. I had several hundred dollars saved, but the guy only wanted 200.00 so that made me even more determined. I got this horse without my mother knowing!!!! Anyway, very long story short, he was only green broke, he was very nice looking spotted appy,, he was gelded at least. My friend and I were convinced we could "train" this horse. She had a very nice Morgan that was professionally trained. We were clueless and in those days there was no internet , other than reading reams of books, no way to get really good lessons unless one could afford a trainer and that was out. I probably almost got killed a number of times, but anytime my friend would bring her Morgan, my guy just went along with the plan. One summer of terrifying but wonderful days with our horses, riding them along the ocean, and swimming them in spring fed ponds. Heck we even went to Dairy Queen and got them ice cream cones. I had no saddle just a bareback pad with stirrups and I don't remember what kind of bridle I was using but I am sure it wasn't the right one for a green horse. I realized as the summer ended that it was only a few months left of high school and then on to college, and I knew this horse deserved a more knowledgeable owner, so I sold him on to a nice home with an experienced owner. It was the time of my life, as terrifying as some of it was, I came out without a major injuries and I never hit the horse or lost my temper with him. I just loved on him. I am so appreciative of all the media you present online so that some young lady or guy wanting a horse can watch for hours and hours and decide if they are ready to take the step AND get a kind, patient, trainer or else find a horse that is super gentle and work from there. Love you guys and DO NOT STOP showing your roadtrips, I am obsessed with the UK and how beautiful it is there in the countryside. I watch endless streaming all things UK just so I can see the countryside. Best of everything to you Steve, you are God's gift to horses and the people that love them. Sent from South Carolina USA
God bless you for helping rescue centers for free - what stars you both are! And for the record, Tanya, ‘The Holiday’ is my fave film too - I don’t know why exactly, no horses!!!
Me too. I like knowing your journey. Sometimes I feel like I’m on the journey with you.
Loved this whole video & I agree with all the previous comments - keep this format! Your videos are VERY long so having some inconsequential bits helps break it up. So far Natalie was the best human you've worked with & like you, I expect good things from her in the future. Fire was absolutely gorgeous & very smart. I'd like to see her get a new name that is more reflective of her deep down sweet nature. She's more like a 'Phoenix' - rising up & triumphing over her past abuse. Thank you Steve & Tanya!
Thank you for sharing. Steve please consider using an outdoor lapel microphone.🐴
I learn from every one of your videos. And I train dogs, lol. Watching the horses respond to you is wonderful. You make sense to them and your communications with them are clear, fair and allow them to let go of learned behaviors and just be ok in the world. Thank you for all of these videos. Horses were my first love and I wish I had learned more back then. Thank You and Merry Christmas!
I love watching you two! Please don’t change. In fact, can you just fill you both hanging out everyday? You both seem like so much fun! Xx
Travel and tourism should support you! Wouldn't surprise me if there's an up tick in travel to the places you show. I, for one, love the format of your videos. Another "cracking " video! Lovely horse, ,"Fire" is. Loads of potential. Thanks! From New Jersey, U.S.A!
Oh my goodness I am in love with her 😍 if she wasn’t so far away she would be coming home with me 🥰
You and your wife do beautiful work. I wish so much you lived in Ontario, Canada. I would love to learn your horsemanship. I watch your videos all of the time and learn so much. I also really enjoy you showing the viewers the lovely food at the pubs, and restuarants you go to. Thank you so much for teaching all the viewers about horsemanship. Carol
Oh my goodness who is whining about how you guys film your videos?? :I Personally I love them, and often have them as background to when I'm working on the computer. Please don't change ( unless you want to of course ;D ). What a stunning lhorse, it breaks my heart that she's gotten so hurt and made to feel terrified of literally everything.
Agree that the non-horsey bits are just as lovely! I like to see the views, also your yummy meals, etc etc. You are SUCH nice decent people!
Love to see where you go, Landscape, weather, buildings, people. Great to see the travel side.
I was seriously injured. I started watching your site, because I can no longer ride, or be involved with horses. Great love. Then saw your travel, as part of your horse involvement. Love seeing country. I can't comfortably ride in cars longer. Thank you. Love your program.
Wow, Reno is absolutely stunning. I'd take him in a heartbeat if it weren't for the fact that I'm in the US and the costs of importing are probably insane right now.
Please keep doing the videos just like you do with the ride along in the banter back-and-forth it really adds to the entire experience. I absolutely love your videos.
As you always say it’s about doing things with ‘quality’…. I apply this missive across my life these days.
Yep, me too, love all the extra stuff, love you two!
I just wanted to thank you for your videos! Horses were my life for so many years! I am unable to ride due to a bad back surgery! It has been so hard to for me! I never dreamed horses would not be in my life! I truly enjoy watching your techniques of training! I lived in Europe for over 7 years. I was in the military first, then as a civilian. So I truly enjoy seeing the country side travels you take us on. For those that don't enjoy...you can never please every one! Keep doing what you do for the horses and the people! Thank you again!
Great job Steve and Tanya. I love your videos. You guys are awesome people
Bless you. ❤
Loved this video and your others. These are so wonderful and educational, and that young lady is really doing well riding Fire, who is picking up quickly. I'm in Texas and wishes great outcomes for all! Rescue Center is amazing. Happy Trails to all!
For what it's worth, I very much appreciate the information you share about the context of the situation. I also love "all the other stuff" -- seeing the countryside, the little snippet of bringing the horses into the stable in the morning, learning about (in the case of this vlog) the animal rescue operation, etc. etc. You are so obviously kind, generous and good people. From my perspective, keep doing what you're doing!
Agree 💯 👍
