I might've missed it if you already mentioned in the video but for those who don't know:
You can adjust the mic levels when you have the m2 connected. It's in the "swipe from right" menu, under pro mode
You just taught me something. I have been trying to figure that out forever and I assumed that it was only for the DJI Mic 2 since the settings under "wireless mic" are greyed out. I will pin this comment. Thanks!
@@jaystechvue Yeah the UX is kinda all over the place unfortunately and I also learned it from another YT video haha. The thing is, you can't normally adjust the on-board mics so that gain slider is not normally there until you plug a 3rd party much through usb-c so it's even more confusing
Thanks, I was looking for this information before buying the Lark M2.
Congrats on 100 subs! I'm your 100th subscriber :)
Thank you! Wow! I can’t believe it. So humbled by this! 🎉🥳
Good Review. I like both but I love the MIC 2 MORE:
1. Internal 32 bit float recording on the MIC 2 (while recording audio to the OP3)
2.The remote feature to start/stop recording on OP3
3. The lav mic input. features the Lark does not have.
4. Can be used as a stand alone recorder.
5. 14-Hour Internal Recording
Thanks man! The Mic 2 has its advantages for sure. If i am doing some important work I’d definitely lean towards it over the Lark M2 just for the reasons you mentioned.
Good video Jay. I do like that it's so much smaller and can be worn on a necklace. I guess you could just get a lav mic and use that w/ the dji and put the dji in your pocket, but i'd be worried about hitting the power button. Nothings perfect.
I appreciate it. I’m with you on the lav mic. I didn’t feel comfortable with the DJI Mic 2 on the Legoland rides. The Lark M2 didn’t budge at all on the lanyard plus I forgot that I even had it on at times since it’s so lightweight.
Subscribed!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the compare. I got a pocket 2 with the Hollyland. Happy so far but might get that pocket 3 in the future.
You should be good with pocket 2. I had the pocket 1 and it was so grainy that I was unusable. Pocket 3 is amazing!
diji pocket3 is great, so is lark m2, worth the price
I have used the Lark M2 on several occasions and it has not failed me. So worth it yes. But if you need internal recording the Mic 2 or the Lark Max would be a better choice.
@GoodideaWorld Was this what you were looking for? 😁
thanks @jaystechvue, did you find much change in battery life when having two Hollyland Lark M2 mics connected?
@GoodideaWorld none whatsoever. I have the creator combo and it went all day without even touching the included battery extension.
Can you turn the led off on the transmitter?
Only for the off position.
Draw me draw me pls! :)
We shall see. 😃
Does the hollyland split the channels on the pocket 3 or are they summed?
Since the Lark M2 is not proprietary to the Pocket 3 you cannot split the channels in camera unfortunately. You can use the camera 3.5 receiver with a usb-c to 3.5 and split it but it’s a little more work.
@@jaystechvue thx, I know that the DJI mic 2 can now split the channels on the iPhone via the lightning connector. The Dji mic 1 could not, so they must have found out the secret.
I think if you use both mics you can
@@hughesy606 I tried it with both mics and it stays in mono mode with the usb-c Rx connected. You have to connect the Camera Rx in order to get stereo mode to split the channels.
@@jaystechvue thank you! this is the comment i was looking for. so at the end of the day, its better to use the lark m2 with the 3,5 cable+transmitter ? my english is not good and basicly im trying to understand if the audio with lark m2 is better with usb adapter, or with transmiter using the 3,5 cable???
I have both dji and hollyland. I prefer to use the hollyland. First of all I bought the combo kit. So I can either use the hot shoe receiver connected to the pocket via usb cable or the receiver designed for usb c phones. Both work perfectly prefer the latter as it’s tiny. The dji mic is the first edition. I’m not at all keen because of the size firstly and the dji receiver clip doesn’t grip on any accessory shoe I own ! And far too tight on my mirrorless. Can’t comment on audio quality because I have an audio processing disorder. So for ease of use and size and options, the lark M2 wins outright. Oh and I forgot to mention. With the dji transmitters I’m always accidentally pressing buttons and enabling or disabling something. My 66 year old construction worker fingers aren’t what they used to be. One more thing. The gain dial on the Lark really needs to be clickier . Too loose. Appreciate the video. 👍🏻
I could hear you pleading your case loud and clear! I got the combo kit for the same reason and I agree 100% about the buttons need to have more feedback because sometimes when I switch between regular and noise cancelling I have to look down at the led indicator on either the tx or rx to make sure. The M1 had better button feedback in my opinion. I don't have a DJI receiver to compare for hot shoe tightness but I can believe it. Now if they can somehow get recording in a updated M2 2.0 they would have sold thousands of units. But I guess that is what the Lark Max was for and I love those too. Thank you!
Seen other tutorials which proves you can connect it directly
What can you connect directly exactly, the lark m2 without a receiver? I highly doubt that’s possible.

I literally just did the same thing he did in that video in my video.
@@jaystechvue did it work?
@@bapcculndobodouala6498 absolutely
Does anyone tell you, you look like Wesley Snipes. Seriously!!
I like the Hollyland m2 better.
What???!!! Never heard that one before. DMX mostly LOL
