  • The title “Angels With Dirty Faces” came from the 1938 film with the same name. Written about the homelessness crisis facing Los Angeles, the song contains jarring lyrics. “Weeds for hair,” “Lost a brother last night to the howling wind,” it’s impossible to listen without feeling immense empathy for those folks who were, and still are desperately struggling.
Like “Wake Up Dolores,” “Angels With Dirty Faces” is another prime example of the power of ‘Kiko’ 🌙
