Small and light = very portable. So given that, why... WHY... would they NOT put an integrated V-Mount plate into these? Even a dumb v-mount shoe or a couple 1/4-20 mounting points so that a plate could be added? Seems like a huge oversight of the manufacturer. There are work arounds for sure, but just makes for more rigging and a less compact setup. That minor gripe aside, I would absolutely love to give these a try.
@Robin Hillier Modern Agents -- I don't know what kind of dainty lighting crew you've been working with. Care to explain why something with a v-mount isn't portable?
@@nathanielhaban3528 I literally just said I had BOTH of these lights, including the V mount. Acknowledge that “light” and “portable” are subjective. If you want to pack LIGHT, really light, the V Batteries are generally big and heavy as heck. Most V mount batteries are bigger and heavier than the entire x100 let alone adding the light. We are discussing a very optimal run and gun product here of pretty high quality. You can toss this into your laptop bag mate.
@Robin Hillier Modern Agents -- you literally didn't. And you say "portable" is subjective, while making definitive statements (which, subjectively are wrong) about the portability of v-mounts. It shows a misunderstanding about powering these lights. There are light v-mounts that weigh around a pound (and are pretty damn small and portable) There are high-capacity Sony batteries that weigh about half a pound. Those Sony batteries have half the watt hours of the light v-mount. So if I'm running this light long enough to need 2 of the high capacity Sony Batts, then guess what? I'd get the same runtime out of a single v-mount, and still have to carry the same weight. You view things only in terms of weight, but seem to forget runtime. For many of us, the (little) cost of added weight is worth benefit of longer run time. I likely have very different needs and use for this light than you would. I obviously have a very different definition of what I'm able to call "portable". So don't think that everyone else's needs are invalid because your narrow definition is being met.
I agree with you they should have included a V mount 100%, technically. Im not sure it was an oversight mores an opportunity to force buyers to pick up their specific battery. It’s apple esk in the sense that you have to buy their proprietary parts in order to get full benefit of the product. I did opt for the battery combo.
🇦🇺 All AUD $ - X100 = $719, 60W pocket = $399 and the 60W combo = $549 - All Plus shipping $$$ Anyone still going to pay 💰 that much for these? I’m saving up for a few of the Sirui brand lights for my studio 👌🏻
I've had two of these batteries stop operating since I purchased three of your kits. One sparked and smoked while charging and the other stopped working during use (fully charged) and is no completely unresponsive. Do you have any information on this? Completely unreliable product for professional use.
The light is good, but it has a problem with the battery, it just stops working at one fine moment and that's it. I have 2 of them and both batteries are bent, at different time periods. This is a complete fail😑 Molus x100
Very happy to receive the opportunity to execute this project. Thank you Zhiyun for this amazing experience.
We really appreciate it and hope to see more Zhiyun products in your future works, Master Marcel😉

Vmount batteries don’t scream portability mate.

No Dtap option... fail, no bowens mount for popular light formers... fail, in summary an isolated solution
Hi Oliver, we do have the Bowens mount adapter that is compatible with normal bowens-mount modifiers.🙌
It had USB charging plug..which my Vmount has and A Bowens adaptor. Doing your research ? Fail.
Wow
bad products. bad gibels...
