Yeah, this is when my interest in modern music began to wane. There are a few here and there that I can appreciate, but I guess I'll always be an 80's and 90's guy.
Thanks so much! I had been looking for somewhat of a more comprehensive list of songs featured on MM's Countdown, and I only ever seen songs that hit #1, but there was much more that was missed and some great songs, lots of Canadiana. Love the content!
hahah that ricky J became a huge joke among me and my friends and back then i had a car with 2 12's and i bought the 5 dollar cd single and would randomly pop it in and bump it pulling up to wherever we were hanging out that night, we used to die laughing,
@@axlewavey4144 the beat is tight, the little bongos n shit lol, i should put it on my phone and drive around now cranking it, re-introduce the world to the man known as Ricky J
Man 2001 was the year the music history met Alicia Keys that year also it was the same year that the first fast and furious movie came on and Harry Potter and the lord of the rings and Shrek
Thanks for flagging! Looks like it got blocked due to copyright. I've muted the song in question and it should be back up once UA-cam has processed it.
2001 was the year of The Fairly OddParents, Lizzie McGuire, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Samurai Jack, and Oswald. Speaking of Oswald, who could forget the episode where he grew a "Big Banana" in his garden?
13:41 - oh god I remember making fun of this song at school. 😂😂 Were right into the worst of rap-rock and the beginning of the end of mainstream popular rock music. Also kinda the worst of the budget boy/girl bands. Busted by I.D., O-Town. Ricky J! Oh god! 😂 This is why Fromage 2001 was the pinnacle of the “laughing at music” genre. 😂
13:40-13:46 Project Wyze the coolest part of the video.
I remember the summer of 2001. All I did was watch Much Music that summer.
And what would you rate this video??
Love this idea! Great video. Rollin' only going to #22 is a travesty.
Is it? Is it though? 😏
This was great. There are some songs I wasn’t expecting to see here but this is awesome.

One More Time peaked at #25 meanwhile it’s the most iconic electronic music song of all-time. Funny

Lot of memories, but a lot of bad plastic cheeseball music from this time. Half of these made me cringe. Glad you did the early to mid 90s.
