菲尔铁塔（法语：La Tour Eiffel,/ˈaɪfəl/ [tuʁ‿ɛfɛl] （ 聆听）），也常称为巴黎铁塔）是位于法国巴黎第七区、塞纳河畔战神广场的铁制镂空塔（英语：Lattice tower），世界著名建筑，也是法国文化象征（英语：Cultural_icon）之一巴黎城市地标之一，巴黎最高建筑物。正式地址为Rue Anatole-France 5号。
艾菲爾鐵塔Eiffel Tower於1889年建造完成，高度為312公尺，有好長一段時間名列全世界最高的建築物。雖然如今艾菲爾鐵塔早已不是全世界最高的建築物，但這座包含天線在內高達324公尺的鐵塔，至今仍是法國首都的主要象徵。不過，鐵塔的高度並非永恆不變，其實是會隨著溫度而變化的。夏天氣溫高時，鐵塔的金屬架構會膨脹，增高達20公分。相對地，冬天時會縮小10公分左右。
Locally nicknamed "La dame de fer" (French for "Iron Lady"), it was constructed from 1887 to 1889 as the centerpiece of the 1889 World's Fair and was initially criticised by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, but it has become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world.[3] The Eiffel Tower is the most visited monument with an entrance fee in the world; 6.91 million people ascended it in 2015. It was designated a monument historique in 1964, and was named part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site ("Paris, Banks of the Seine") in 1991.[4]
The tower is 330 metres (1,083 ft) tall,[5] about the same height as an 81-storey building, and the tallest structure in Paris. Its base is square, measuring 125 metres (410 ft) on each side. During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to become the tallest human-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years until the Chrysler Building in New York City was finished in 1930. It was the first structure in the world to surpass both the 200-metre and 300-metre mark in height. Due to the addition of a broadcasting aerial at the top of the tower in 1957, it is now taller than the Chrysler Building by 5.2 metres (17 ft). Excluding transmitters, the Eiffel Tower is the second tallest free-standing structure in France after the Millau Viaduct.
