@@davidevans125I was wondering if that was one he kept. Apparently not. I always liked the old Buicks, I had a couple myself. I always wanted a Riviera but never got one.
When they got an advance from Atlantic Records in 1968, for their first album, he bought an American car with his share... which fell on his chest when he was doing repair work underneath it. I seem to recall his share was £8000.
Glad you got Robert’s AMG 126, I saw him in that car many times in the 80’s when he would frequent the Valencia Arms hotel and restaurant in Arley just outside Kidderminster, all black and dark windows it was incredible back then, I’ve also seen him running around in a bright orange Focus ST during the naughties
We had our wedding reception at the Valencia in 1984, the food was amazing, just a shame it's no longer there. We see Robert around Kidder minster quite often, he lives in Shatterford, jus a few miles away, we recently sat on the next table in an Indian restaurant in Kidderminster.
@@pippipster6767 Yes, true. Love can't buy what Robert owns. I was just repeating what one of our local radio personalities said when she met him. I overheard her say, "Robert is one great big lovable lug of a hippie." That's all. I love Robert, the person. I would STILL love, even him if he owned a Yugo GV.
A friend of mine lives near him on the A449. Apparently he was a regular driver of a ropey Ford Fiesta. Just the job for knocking around down the muddy lanes in and the man has nothing to prove. I think that the kids and family get the flash stuff thesedays. Blackcountry chap! 👍
Was in Thailand ( Pattaya) and a Lamborghini was parked up with the engine running there he was Robert Plant in the driver’s seat. He did look worse for wear but he has looked like that for year’s.
For those thinking 'going like the clappers' is some sort of audience participation it actually refers to the clapper that makes bells ring (thanx mum)❤
Totally. Perhaps unique would be a better word. I suppose strange in the sense that he had a couple of oddball choices compared to other British rockers at the time.
That motorcycle is not a Triumph. It is a vintage P&M made in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire. P&M are well known for their Panther sloper motorcycles that were very popular for sidecar use.

John Rhodes Cobb a British Gent with some Friends Back in 1939 Had Built a Race Car and took it too the Bonneville Salt Flats and went 368 miles per hour...lol
Maybe not the best or the greatest. I believe I Can't Quit You Baby, You Shook Me, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You and When the Levee Breaks were all covers where the band did credit the original artist. Now The Lemon Song, Whole Lotta Love, Bring it on Home and Dazed and Confused were 100% plagiarized and the band settled copyright suits on all four songs
As an American, I found it strange when the narrator pronounced “garage” like an American would. guh-RAJ. In the UK, it’s GARE-ridge, correct? Or close to this with the accent on the first syllable?
@@carlmitchell9958 interesting. Thanks! Funny side note: in the 80s, a friend of mine were listening to Elton John’s song “Levon”. In it he clearly pronounces garage, “GARE-ridge”. We thought it was funny. I’ve never forgotten this. Appreciate your comment.
*What other vehicles do you know of that Robert Plant owned? Let us know!*
ive got his old 1972 Buick Riviera up here in Lancashire..

from the documentation it seems he owned it for the duration of the 90s and drove about 75 miles only @@steveb7310

Saw him in local supermarket last month driving a '16' plate Jag nothing fancy just an everyday run-around.
Robert Anthony Plant forever best singer ❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥

Love the band love the songs love the video love the cars
Coop is what you keep chickens in mate
Spelled that way, you’re correct.
Yes, but that's the way you pronounced it. Pandering to Americans whilst having a monotonal English accent doesn't work.

"The Range Rover" that inspired the song Kashmir! 😂. On the same album as kashmir, is a song titled: The Rover.

Nice to see the cars.. your comment on the Aston, "the passengers in the right seat as it's a righthand drive" ? Left seat surely? 😊😂
He owns a lot of great cars but apparently his favourite is the Trabant, which he drives around Kidderminster. He paid £200 for it back in 1990.
