Don't worry everyone! We will still keep everything custom, and there will still be a huge Socal/ Miami area (it's our favorite too)... we may just incorporate a custom NYC area, and a snow area... still in the planning stages

I really like the idea of a new york table! it would be cool to see a lot of mid height pre war buildings, similar to the restored pre war architecture you may see in SoHo or Tribeca. along with some art deco style as well. I know you both weren’t thinking skyscrapers for the new york table, but maybe eventually building one of two would look cool, not a lot. check out some of the skyscrapers in billionaires row in nyc for inspo possibly. a lot of tall and thinner modern buildings that take up less space but would look cool with more mid height buildings. congratulations on the wedding :)

I like what you two make so I believe we'll see some amazing builds. But hey take your time and enjoy this magniicient moment with miss' Afol👨❤️💋👨 We'll keep waiting, don't worry. The problem with any North American style of city-building is that it doesn't lend itself very well for relatively small dioramas because of their layout: wide streets and massive buildings. European architecture + the organically grown rather than planned layout of our cities, lends itself very well for recreation using construction bricks and make it a challenge but also highly rewarding to use all kinds of fancy building techniques to avoid using a grid street pattern. Take for example undulating roads: a challenge but doable (for example by using pneumatic tubes as a basis and making cobblestone patterns on top of them using 1x1 brick modifieds with a 1x1 plate attached. The spacious layouts of North American cities are better for H0 scale because one can use the same amount of space but have a 2.5 times bigger area modelled. If I were a construction brick city builder I'd solely focus on European architecture. Which has another advantage: a lot of high quality 8 wide models of European rolling stock and highly detailed steam but also electric and diesel locomotives, especially German ones, are sold by companies like BlueBrixx, Mould King etc. and of course it makes no sense to put a German train like the Rheingold Express in a North American themed city. If you're up for a challenge: create something based on the Rhineland region of Germany: lots of undulation, picturesque Gothic, Baroque, and Classicist architecture, etc.
I’m not a huge fan of custom modulars personally. If that’s what I wanted I could go check out literally any other Lego layout channel. The skyscrapers are unique, and look really good. You guys are one of only 3 channels making a modern city and that’s what I like best myself

Congrats, hope your safe. I would move all your tall buildings into your NYC downtown then convert your SoCal is more of a beach town with more more custom mods shops and neighborhoods. I love the idea of the bridge connecting the two. Maybe run with a subway that connects the two cities.
Can i just say thanks for showing the sorting 'mess' i feel other channels seems to have everything perfect and whilst im 70% organising my collection to see yours looking like mine is awesome

I honestly wouldn't care about what people want. Do what YOU want and makes you happy. People are finicky to begin with so it will always change.
