What a blessing to find a church that still worships in traditional way! These folks look like they are attending a church service. So often people dress just like they are daily work clothes. That’s fine if that’s your best but I don’t think worn out blue jeans and tights are appropriate. Church should be different from the world. Thank you folks.
I was surprised to see that in a Baptist church. The church that my late wife and I were married now has a "pastor" that wears t-shirts, jeans and sandals on SUNDAY MORNING! Most of the pastors don't respect that sacred desk, the pulpit, enough to even wear a tie any more. Those are the ones that, I don't care what comes out of their mouths, I have no desire to listen to anymore.
Im getting ready to leave this world.....my Mom passed on May 7,2023. The day she met Jesus she kept telling my sister and step dad today is my day. Today I get to go home. Today I'm meeting Jesus. She passed 1 hour past midnight but she was right!!! Oh to be able to know that today is the day. Today we get to meet Jesus. I miss my momma terribly but im comforted knowing she met Jesus. Oh how she loved Jesus. ✝️

My Baptist church still uses this red hymn book! We still do hymns. I truly enjoyed this. It is very early am and I struggle to sleep well so I am listening to this to help me sleep. I am glad this church put this on You Tube! Thank you to this church wherever it is!
This Saturday evening song service was simply awesome. It was so good to find a church that continues to use the "Red Back" hymnal, also known as the Church of God hymnal. I grew up singing these songs. God bless you, pastor, for assembling this Saturday sing. I have listened to its entirety no less than 6 times. Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to operate and be in control.
Our church tried to do this. After God moved on my heart to suggest it to our Pastor. But unfortunately, very little hymn was sung. I'm afraid we let the CCM movement infiltrate our Baptist Churches. I will always cherish the hymns I grew up on. Thank you for keeping our sacred traditions! God Bless
I so needed to hear this today. I'm the piano player at our church and have missed two Sundays in a row due to flu. Our pastor have been out with Covid. Pray for Reece's Chapel Baptist Church, Newport, NC that all get well.
If young people were exposed to these old hymns, they would love them! It is sad that they are not and are deprived of blessings that can be had by singing such words of TRUTH!!

I grew up in a small independent Baptist church where all we sang were hymns with piano and organ. I'm so thankful that I received that upbringing!

✍ Hello from Ohio...I'm A convert to Catholicism and we sing hymns but I do miss going to a "Sing Spiration" Back in the 50s My Great Uncle was a Pilgrim Holiness preacher in Southern Ohio and we would visit him and his church which was in Chauncey they sang like your church "with some life in it" 🎶 I think music 🎶good old fashioned hymns with the love of Jesus just pouring out of every note 🎶💞 is better in reaching people better than a sermon. I did visit a Church of God and they didn't use hymnals but put the words on a screen and didn't sing one song I'd never heard. They sing all these new songs but sorry they didn't touch me at all. I guess they say the songs I knew are Old Fashioned and Out of Date...well there's Nothing Old Fashioned or Out of Date about JESUS or OUR HOLY FATHER 🙏 Sir you are so right..those songs from my Sunday school days have stayed with me and I'll be 78 in two weeks. Thank you so much for filming this Red Book Sing! Im a southern gal that was transplanted to Western PA. These northern folk just don't get it lol. Even the most upbeat southern gospel songs sound like a funeral derge. Im just having a good ol' fashioned foot tappin' time right now. I have my ear buds in and my husband is giving me the "honey you're off key" look but idc. Um having a good time 💖🤚✝️

@robfriedrich2822 I've been thru colon cancer 3 stomach resection mini stroke chemo radiation and colonosscopy cat scan blood tests etc. My dr says so far I'm cancer free as of now. I believe God healed me from this doing physical therapy as we speak to learn to walk . I know God is with me but I feel sooo alone. I lost my son and husband to cancer. I still have my cat who I s almost 21. My best friend. I have bad n I'm trying to get over. Your songs were really wore really wonderful. I will listen 4 ever. I had a good cry. It seems to be piano, organ and drums and it seems to be, that they used the same mix for live and video sound, so we hear the vocals much louder. In the church the accompaniment would be louder, because the Leslie, the piano and the drummer's monitor are audible.
one thing that scares me is where are the young people children young adults we need to find a way to approach them because eternity with out the m is a long time i dont have a answer this is scary

I love these songs, and enjoyed the video. However, it wasn't quite a hymn sing, but a combination hymn sing/concert. It's difficult to sing along with groups/soloists doing their own thing regarding tempo.
I see that in 10 months no one answered you. I don't mean to be critical but I've never understood why churches don't post their location and directions etc nor monitor the comments.
I really miss this music. There is nothing that can replace the Red book hymnal.i grew up singing this music all my life in church. I miss it so bad. I miss the fellowship of this kind of church . The Saturday night singing get up next morning go back to church and sing again from the Redbook and the preacher would preach from the word of God. Oh how I miss it. Makes my heart ache.

Traditional? That would involve cassocks, incense, processions, etc. About 2000 yes of it
