This is and will forever be my favourite Derren Brown live show. It is honestly the most conclusive show I’ve probably ever seen, everything comes full circle and it’s just incredible. I just can’t imagine a better written show than this. Mcfly and enigma both mentioned at the very beginning sitting there and then the ending with them. It’s brilliant.
That was truly the most entertaining one hour fifteen minutes i have spent in a long time, Derren is truly a gifted individual, i just wish that at one time i may actually meet the guy...

I bet he could hypnotize you quite well, bangufuka. It takes people who are more easily suggestible to hypnotize, some people can't be hypnotized at all, most can to some degree. But the ones who are best at being hypnotized are basically known by the hypnotists to be, in one word, gullible. What is a demon and how do you know it exists? I recommend publishing your response in a peer reviewed journal, as humanity could truly benefit from this profound knowledge you hold.
I just noticed after watching this a bunch of times that in the beginning when he was telling people to think of three things they love he said "A holiday destination you'd most like to McFly to."
This is how Derren pulls off the grand finale: at 0:22 he subliminally says "Mc Fly" when instructing the audience in their choice of favourite things. Derren also likes to make a mistake at the beginning of many of his performances, perhaps to garner sympathy from the audience and prevent them from becoming too suspicious before their defences are down.
***** Subliminal messages have nothing to do with it. They never do in magic tricks because it's not reliable. They just had an entire box filled with suggestions that say McFly on them.

I just don’t get it at all. The woman is in a trace with a bag on her head. She’s not “guarding” anything. Clearly a lovely young assistant crawls under the drapes in the back, rings the bell, puts the ball into the vase and leaves under the drapes again. The two gentlemen in the front of the display aren’t “guarding” anything either! They’re just sitting there.
Figured out the last trick... first the men chose a number and chose a letter to stand in front of. How they got in those positions is window dressing and the combo does not matter. Now each man has a letter/number combination. Derren reads out loud each number in the order of the letters. A1, B3, *C2*, D6, E4, and F5. Then the woman chooses C. From what Derren read out we know 2 goes with C. So does his pal backstage. Derren also knows the backs of the lollypops, A=E, B=N, C=I, etc. So C is Icecream. Backstage pal puts together the card pack with Egg/1, Needle/3, Icecream/2 etc. And of course the C/2 card for the front of the stage. Once the guy goes to the *back* of the stage to collect the card pack place dthere by the back stage pal, the trick is almost done, Derren just needs ot force the card on the woman that is the ice cream. A card force for Derren is easy peasy. More window dressing, then ... Shazam... impossible trick done!
I'm TOTALLY blown away and AMAZED by this wonderful and beautiful human being... If he is one that is.... Anyway..A real genius! Thank you Derren Brown so, so much for all the joy you give to the world! ❤️😀
Even if he can't really read minds or whatever, he never says that he can. He never lies about what he does, it's all showmanship and being careful and skillful with what he does on stage. Tbh I don't really care if it isn't really 'magic' or 'mind-reading', it's entertaining and that's all that's important to me.

The "magic change hamper" is a bespoke device, but is just an elaborate version of a "magic change bag", a device which has a double pocket lining and a mechanism which switches between one pocket and the other. The audience all place their paper slips in one pocket of the lining whilst the basket is on the front of the stage. Once they have all finished, one of Derren's assistants picks up the basket and carries it to the table 0:43. As they are carrying the basket they operate the mechanism, the audience's slips are now in the concealed pocket and the 'rigged' slips are in the open pocket. From this point onwards, McFLY are set to be the group revealed at the end of the "Enigma" trick, COOKIES is set for the word association trick, and CIDER is set for the dictionary trick.

What he poured out was probably water with food coloring. His act is as much sleight-of-hand and parlor tricks as it is hypnosis.

It's simpler than you think. It's a switch and slight of hand. Oldest trick in the book. What Darren is good at is he mixes his magic with persuasion, so you actually think it's real.

You can hear him say "you most like macfly to" at 23s. It's subconscious cues like that and the way the chalk came over the medium tent like confetti that implant the ideas. Now, trying to find the other suggestions is the Easter egg of it.
Good idea - that's what I wa thinking of. Just not that detailed. But still some things I am asking myself: How did they label it so fast? And how did they place it in the box without notice? And most of all how was the spirit cabinet made? Actors? Since they were among the "standing"? All together I love his show and he is really great and although some things are tricks which other people could do as well - he is still the master of converstional hypnoses.

Good idea - that's what I wa thinking of. Just not that detailed. But still some things I am asking myself: How did they label it so fast? And how did they place it in the box without notice?
And most of all how was the spirit cabinet made? Actors? Since they were among the "standing"? All together I love his show and he is really great and although some things are tricks which other people could do as well - he is still the master of converstional hypnoses.
