- In this video, we give you an update on our caterpillar farm and announce the winners of our butterfly and moth shadow box giveaway!! Thank you all so much for participating in this giveaway; we had a great time doing this and want to do more of these in the future!

So I'm sitting my back yard a few days ago and a monarch butterfly zumms by and I go chasing it with my phone in hand to take a photo of it...then I realized you folks got my hooked on these little things.
I am going to plant some milkweed next spring, I may not take them in house but I love watching all butterflies . Need to know what kind of flowers to plant for all kinds of butterflies. I have some humming bird feeders, so I sit outside and watch the birds and butterflies. Love the channel.
Great work great rewards, everybody can do something , plant plants insects need do releases raise catillpillars ! Been doing Ladybugs, Praying Mantis & green lacewings for 12 years now.

It's crazy I was just about to ask you about caterpillars with stinging nettles. I ran across one in a tree I was climbing, it too was a lime green and by the time I figured out why I was itching it had tore me up lol.
I'm Martin Snyder in Kentucky and I and I just love watching your shows and I learned what is poison what ate poison in the different things that y'all do I just think it's wonderful you kids are like that and my wife thinks it's very nice except for when you handle snakes

I have a storm shelter I want plant some butterfly, and bee plants, and humming bird plants what you plant, just to throw seeds out and let go!
Milkweed, bee balm, zinnias, salvia and stick verbena, and lantana would be a good collection to plant around your storm shelter!

Cole and Jay do the caterpillars bite. I’ve always been afraid of them biting me lol. I hate the stinging ones. I stepped on a black one with black spikes. I felt the pain all the way up to my hip and didn’t stop for like 20 minuets. Worst pain I ever felt. Congrats to the winners that is awesome. Great video guys.

That’s interesting. I always thought that adult moths were unable to eat.
Some adult moths do not feed, like Luna, Polyphemus, and IO moths. Sphinx moths live longer lives and are important pollinators! 😃

Remember people, plant some plants that feed the Butterflies and moths..yes the moths too, know some people don't care for them, but they are a important part of Eco system as well. And lastly..Cole and Jay, dislike being the one to have to tell you..but I think you might of broke your 1 dog! lol, I've heard of lazy before, but you can usually get even them to get up on their bellies!

I don't mean to be a hater :) , BUT that green worm looks like what I call a tomato hornworm, they can strip a tomato plant down quick. great video tho!
Yeah they look similar but are quite different! We have another video on the channel going over the difference of the two species! Most species of sphinx moth have very similar looking caterpillars! 👍
