*Based only on his singing I was absolutely sure he would have won the show, his voice was so different and soothing, he is so humble and down to earth, I wish he achieves his dreams...*
I am from bangladesh. When Indian Idol 1 came, I was 13 years old. My first poster in my bedroom was Amit Sana's picture. The day he lost the grand finale, I cried a lot. My mom and dad were laughing and consoling me. Those were some of good and precious moments with my late father. I still miss those days. But I still believe Amit Sana was the true winner of that season.
OMFG-This interview is relatable at so many levels...so many parellels... professional, personal, mental. The high and lows along with the little elements of the in between life a man/woman leads, the acceptance of the flaws, the gentleness of still not calling out people vehemently and eventually the courage to sit there and talk about it with a smile that hides the visible pain..wow...You deserve better man...more power to you !!
Yes what is shocking also is the drive for success, desire, etc with a little distance so much of it comes down to change, luck, nepotism.. the world is a dirty dirty place and yet at the same time, it is the best place.

One of the most genuine interview ever heard. He still has that innocence and honesty and that makes him a great artist। He might not won any big title but won peoples heart for sure. 😊😊😊
Finally a real conversation. The unnecessary over-the-top drama in reality shows is definitely because of the channel, but it is the audience who is to be blamed, since they enjoy & promote this drama. Ppl with less talent & sob stories get promoted more than those with pure talent & no sob story
I still remember that it was 2005 and I was just 11 years old. I would watch Indian Idol, which was a new singing show back then, with my mother on Sony channel. We watched all the episodes together and my favourite was Amit Sana. I still remember that you had to vote via landline typing a specific code after dialing a number displayed on the screen after the contestant had finished his or her performance. I still remember that after voting, a woman's voice would say over the receiver "Thank you for your vote". That month during the Season 1 finale, I had voted so many times that our landline bill came almost five times the normal amount. It was all due to the number of votes I had given. I was still just 11 years old, studying in class 5, so I had no idea that the amount would be so much even if I was aware that those votes were "chargeable". I knew they were not free. My father was very angry and worried even though he had no idea what caused that spike in the landline bill. I was voting in secret and even my mother did not know. I still remember the colour of the landline phone - it was deep blue. I still remember how disappointed I was when Abhijit Sawant won the competition. To this day, I have never told my mother that I voted for Amit Sana, or that I indeed voted at all. Nor of course did my father know. We watched "Fame Gurukul" that came out around the same time in 2005, led by Ila Arun as the judge. But I never voted via landline again or by any other means, even though we can vote now for free on apps and other stuff. My father passed away in 2011 and my mother and I still watch "Indian Idol" and other singing shows. My sister now also joins us.
The only Indian Idol (1st Season) where we remember almost all top 8 or 10 finalists. I was all for Amit Sana and Rahul Vaidya to win. ❤❤❤. Good to see Amit here. Dude you still look 27. Keep looking fit and be confident and happy. ❤ When Amit sang Kisna, no one could sing it better. He took that song to another level ❤❤❤
I remember in 2006 he came to Rabindra Sarobar stadium in Kolkata. It was a packed show that we couldn't even enter and was hearing from outside. So much craze was there at that time.
I was a ardent follower of Indian idol 1 and Amit Sana was my favourite contenstant. I wanted him to win. I gave him many votes.. I still remember, for voting, I used to send sms - Sana to 2525 I also remember some of the names of other top 10 contestants like Rahul Saxena,Harish Moyal, Amit Tandon, Ravinder Ravi, Prajakta Shukre, Rahul Vaidya and abhijeet. Sawant. And also the Indian idol 1 them song called PAL sung by KK.🙂 It was an emotion of childhood memories...
I apologise to you Amit. I did vote for Abhijit multiple times despite knowing somewhere you were better. I was in class 8 at the time. I am a high school teacher now and still feel guilty. Looks did play a massive role in Abhijit's success.
Dear Siddharth You are one of the best hosts out there. So motivating and positive. And you are asking upfront questions. Thats very good. Regards, Shreyasta
Amit Sana’s comments on the comments made by the judges (like praising too much of some ordinary performances given by some of the contestants) is quite true. We, as audience members would often feel that some of the performances were quite ordinary and need not have been praised so highly by the judges. I feel some of his comments were quite down to earth. This happens in dance reality shows too. All the three judges try to make ordinary performances look extraordinary thereby giving their preferences.
He's the most deserving contestant of indian idol 1. We all were voter for him. Yes Amit we all felt so emotional when u were lost. But fr us r the true ultimate indian idol forever. Following u on fb for long. Most humble star n beautiful person i ever seen. Much respect for u. ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗💕💕
I am from Bangladesh and huge fan of Amit Sana.I bought the first album of Amit Sana...Chal diye.thank u so much Siddarth for this interview.I waited for this since 2005.
Dear Mr. Siddharth, I am so thankful to you for inviting Amit Sana and allowing him to speak his heart out. I have realized today that what a pure soul and matured person he is. I wish him loads of success in future. This industry is not meant to be a place for sincere and hard working people.
I can so relate to this guy ... Because I am in the same boat ⛵. Have been in the industry for the past 13 years and still trying to figure it out ... Mumbai is exactly the city Amit described. This is truly very heart to heart interview 🫶
Amit Sana seems to be a very down to earth person. Whatever he talks about Rahul Vaisya, the same type of persons can be seen in other industries, like software, manufacturing or any other industry.
This is the first time I'm complimenting Siddharth kannan for bringing Amit Sana. U could've called any famous and trending person of today but u chose to bring him and let him open his heart out. Amit Sana is so raw, so innocent and honest at heart. Acche acche bikhar jaate hain, but he's the same humble man in failure in struggle in life. All the best Amit and more power to kannan for calling such underdogs on ur show. Good work brother 👍🏻

One thing I really like about Siddharth Kanan interviews is that they are very natural and most importantly the people who came for interview are not big stars they are still struggling like many middle class people so it's very touching and seems very beautiful to hear about the journey which they are going or have gone through ❤👏
Yes ultimately the truth has come out. Though so late . Me and my husband were 100% percent sure about Amit Sana winning. He has that versatile voice. Aaj sach saamne aa gaya. We were shocked at the final results.
He was spiritually awakened so he save himself from all the negative stuff and people that’s the reason I say do meditation and connect with your inner self 👍
Great interview Siddharth.. This interview will guide the old and new and also the future Singers to be patient and always honest to one's talent.. and of course, one's life.. Keep enlightening.. Keep inspiring.. ❤
My late father always maintained Amit Sana was sang and performed way better than Abhijeet Sawant. He said, it was Abhijeet's boy-next-door sweet looking demeanour that won his the show. The deserving winner he always said was Amit Sana. Amit, you're an incredible human being. Not only a great artist but a great human being as well. You talk so much sense.
Omg how matured and well versed is Amit Sana. Love the way hes answering each question with so much sincerity and maturity. Bless you and may you achieve much heights 🙏
To be very honest, one HAS TO and MUST adapt with the times. In the day and age of what social media became years ago, one really does not have 'excuses' since with voice like his - He can really slay (I know that's GenZ but that's the time we live in)... Ha.... He shoulld just get a fair PR for Social Media and chill...
I still remember that night, I was 11 year old and I cried when he lost, and my family made fun of me as if I lost something as they were supporting Abhijit. Only me n my Mom were supporting him and we also voted him from the landline we used to have. Its strange as I was so young but still i remember those days so vividly, the songs: Columbus, woh Krisna hai were my fav. Good old days. I also loved chal diye,... for some reason I still remember its lyrics.
What an amazing time the late 90s until mid 2000s. So many great non film albums and singers/banda. Unfortunately almost the entire industry of bands is gone from india and it's only bollywood music left.
I still remember the finale result and cried a lot when amit Sana loose and cane second 😢. My heart was broked 💔 . That was the first and last time when I voted 10 times for anyone but when he loose, I stop voting. I was 10 years old now I am 29. Still amit Sana and his hair spikes I remember.
No judge has taken a vow to launch the career of any reality singer, it is really dumb of Sid to ask this question considering he has been in the entertainment industry since over a decade now and knows how showbiz works. Reality shows are just pure entertainment, there are new dance talent singing show launched every 6 months it is impossible to give everyone a break. Earlier there was only one on Zee Tv or Star hence we got a shreya ghosal, sonu nigam and arijit singh. There are over 500 satellite channels both Hindi and regional with their own reality shows. TRPs are only the driving force behind reality shows, contestants should not living in a la.la land when they participate in such shows. Social Media platforms are the best way to showcase their talent now.

Many many thanks for this very impressive interview. We're witnessing here a very deep rooted music artist, we have very few such genius these days ❤❤❤❤🙏
I can so relate with what he is saying. I am from Bhilai almost the same age as Amit. I can understand how overwhelmed he must have felt by Mumbai back then. Also, people of Bhilai atleast from that time and age he grew up in genuinely could not turn down people even when they know you are being manipulated. We have literally never seen our parents do any networking for our career. So this all seems alien to do this. That self worth or the lack of it is so sad but relatable today when I have worked in advertising and pr for so long.
Mujhe yea video dekh kar rona a Gaya. I can remember that time everyone was voting for Abhijit. But me and dad were so much into Amit Sana. His voice was just amazing. But uske bad Amit Sana dikhai nahi. Thanks for bringing him.
Bhai just nostalgia. Life k Purana time yaad dila dia Amit Bhai.Thank you. I was a fan of Rahul Vaidya but you will be my favourite when it is between you and Abhijeet. Bhai gaana kabhi mat chorna.you are in the hearts of people you don't need the glamour world.
Just loved to see ( @AmitSanaofficial ) Amit Sana 's humility still prevalent and he speaking his heart out with so much honesty yet so much grace. I hope he does really well in his life.

Why does this interview and the personality of Amit Sana relate so much with introvert people like me, its like he just spoke my heart out.
Yes, he was an introvert and may have had an inferiority complex as well. This could be because of his looks/complexion.

Thank you so much Amit for being so honest
I so wished Amit Sana to win the Indian Idol trophy. He was so so good. Later I don't know where he vanished.
Same here. He and Rahul was far better
@@mallikachatterjee oh yes Rahul Vaidya was also in this season. I liked his voice, he sounded like Sonu Nigam.
Such a wonderful and well-spoken human being Amit Sana. Great interview.
Many many thanks for this very impressive interview. We're witnessing here a very deep rooted music artist, we have very few such genius these days ❤❤❤❤🙏
My favourite indian idol since childhood...very talented and underrated singer ❤❤
People who remember him are 80s and 90s kids
Pure soul. ❤
Hey Amit....never give up...u r doing great. 😊
@SiddharthKannanOfficial Thank you to you as well for the interview.
