Such a beautiful gown!! That thing is called a tailor's ham! I've seen someone recently selling them and they look like ham....like, the fabric print makes a big ham! 😂 They may have been in a kit to make yourself. I can't remember who had them.
I really like watching your videos. I learn different things from different people. Forgetting to film is normal, you have a small child! It was nice hearing her gurgling in the background. I hope your shift goes/went well. Be kind to yourself afterwards. Shifting is exhausting.
Pressing ham. Have you read about the designer of Jackie's dress, Ann Lowe? Lots of interesting information about her. Jackie didn't treat her very well and right before the wedding, all the dresses she had made, including the bridal gown, were ruined by a flooded building. She had to remake all of the dresses, at her own expense. When Jackie was asked who made her dress, her reply was "a negro woman."
Hello, I have recently discovered your chanel & love it, your work is amazing. I have also used some of your technique in making an1820 gown for my wife. As I didnt have a pattern it has been a process of draping, drafting and youtube. Many thanks.

This is STUNNING. Sooo beautiful! You are so talented. How many cumulative hours did this take?
Thank you! Hm, I'm not quite sure. Possibly 10 12 hour days to complete this gown.
Oh my lord girl! I commend you!
Welcome back to North Carolina! I hope you’re coming back to the same area. And I’m so glad to hear that you’re going to have a fantastic sewing room.
