  • On our last day in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos we visited Long Bay Beach. It was a bit further and harder to find. We passed by so many luxury villas while looking for the parking lot. We had an option of getting an airbnb here, which would have been beautfiul. In the end we chose a more central location. The beach was a bit of a walk to get to, but all together beautiful.
It was in the windy side of the island, and where the kite surfers were. Despite being windy, the water was still very warm and calm.
We had lunch at the cocovan airstream lounge, which was really cute. The food was delicious and one the cheapest we had in the island. We tried to get reservations at the popular Coco Bistro next door, with no luck. They recommended just coming in early and try to get bar seats, which we did. *Tip, make sure to get reservations in advance to get a table. The food was delicious and definitely live up to the hype. I loved the conch ceviche.
We woke up early on our last day to spend a few hours on Grace Bay Beach, and had quick breakfast before catching our flight back to New York.
Overall, Turks & Caicos is a must visit especially if you're coming from New York. It's only a 4 hours flight, perfect for a mini getaway. The food and accommodations are in the higher end, but still affordable especially if you're coming from New York. I'm not much of a beach swimmer, as I usually get cold easily, but the water in Providenciales was so warm, I enjoyed swimming. We ate, so much conch fritters and I normally don't eat seafood. Really amazing.
