Hey MDawg, thanks for the shoutout! Appreciate the support man and really glad you're enjoying the flying collar rig a bit more cause it can honestly be a bit painful sometimes. Also cause you have a slower gear ratio reel you can up the retrieval speed a little if you wanna test that out. I tried the flying collar from the shore when people were pulling trophy after trophy with feeders and lugworm and it just wasn't as effective.
I used the flying collar rig yesterday the whole time max cast and a retrival speed between 4 and 7 gives you a bite every time bbut the fish are not really big, And later on i used the marine paternoster rig in the same way as the flying collar rig and with the same result a lot of small fish and a few bigger ones, Including 4 troll trophy 's 2 Haddocks of 10,836 kg 1 long head dab of 2,986 kg and a saithe of 18,613 kg, 95 fish in total
