possible theory for this: it was actually a two-sided vision.
Anakin had a similar vision as a young boy of meeting another boy named Luke walking the same path. Sort of like a junction point in time and space through the force.
I love this theory and it makes perfect sense. Canon to me.
I was about to post the same theory! It's supported by the fact that it was Anakin who first suggested it was a dream.

I love how Anakin became the most evil man in the galaxy while Luke became the biggest beacon of light, when in here it was Luke being angry and feeling no remorse for the marooned Tusken. Anakin on the other hand, felt sad for him and exclaimed that maybe they are just a little misunderstood. It really shows how far Annie fell from the light...😞

I don’t care how sad his backstory is, Vader was evil.

Wait, one question. SW Theory says that Anakin's visions were 'taken away from him' along with many of his other abilities when he burns on Mustafar. Yet in some comics, Vader occasionally has visions of things he believes will happen in the future, he even has one involving Luke's green lightsaber. So maybe he didn't lose them entirely.
Although most of his 'visions' from that point were essentially fantasies of how things could have been if he hadn't joined Palpatine. (Living happily with Padme and their child).

Honestly, I think that this might have been either a vision from Luke's end or possibly part of Anakin's past leaking into the present through some sort of force-fissure or something.
This is very interesting, I wonder how Luke would react if he realized that he was talking to his dad (from the past)? Imagine talking to your dad and he’s around the same age as you are? On the flip side I wonder how Anakin would react if he were to realize that Luke is his son in the future?

Another Comic says that the Droid was named "Skippy" and that he was force sensetive. He has a vision that when uncle owen choose him the rebelion would be destroyed. So he use the force to make a little explosion inside of him that owen chooses R2

The dead sand person at 2:01 maybe a metaphor for darth vader. He went to thw darkside after his love died and was cast out by his peers for wanting to bring her back. Vader is misunderstood ciz even though hes on the darkaide he still does things to hinder the dark side and aid the light. Like killing sidious generals or serting things in motion that help light side
Is that large animal-like skeleton we saw on Tatooine before this comic supposed to be the dragon? If so, then not only did Luke had a vision of his father from the past, but also the animal life that used to live on Tatooine which has gone extinct eons ago.

I think that had a lot to do with his own behavior later on. A strange case of a Padawan, isolated from the rest, instructed to sever the deepest connections between himself and his mother, taught to suppress the feelings they couldn't condition out of him at birth.
He's not whiny, he's not bloodthirsty, he's a misunderstood individual desperately trying to live up to the impossible.
@@nathang6376 Exactly, and honestly, the connection between and single mother and an only child is arguably deeper that the normal. Add to that the fact that Anakin promised to return to save his mother, and felt her later death was his fault because he failed to keep his promise. Well, its not wonder he was so angry. That's going to have some serious psychological effects on anyone.

What do you think the range was on the Death Star? Like how close did it need to be to destroy a planet? And how long would it take to refire? Like if Tarkin was ordered to destroy 100 planets, could he do that in an hour from one spot, or would it take weeks?

What if what Luke experienced was a time paradox what if that wasn't a vision of Anakin as a little boy what if Anakin as a young boy also ventured into the desert as a boy and Luke and Anakin were both lost in the sand storm when storm lifted they were both put back in the time lines

I like to think of it as that Luke and anakin really did interact since they’re so strong in the force anakin could’ve had a similar vision when he was a child to i guess he’ll each other out of the storm and they basically talked through time since they’re both strong in the force and are connected through blood
I really like these little stories. Disney cant ever make a good SW movie, so at least we have these and the Vader fan film coming.

I like these videos about the backstory of Anakin and his transformation into Darth Vader. Can you do a video sometime about what powers Darth Vader lost when he lost his limbs? The tidbit about losing his ability to have premonitions was very interesting.
biggest part was his visions. due to him losing his hands and arms he also lost the potential of using force lightning and his force capability diminished by %40 i believe and that's a lot even with all that lost power he still went on to become the second most powerful sith lord of all time. DAMN.
I remember reading this story when it was released years back. I felt there was something quite poignant about it, these two important characters we know so well, there many similarities. They could be friends and yet they don't know the sad past and future to come.
The decision to go off into the desert wasn't the smartest move I'll admit. However, it could be that this vision was an early sign Luke was strong in the Force. It just wasnt' explained to him yet.
Cool how Owen must have remembered Padmé calling Anaking "Annie" all those years ago and then instantly made the connection to the dark sith lord who is Lukes father.
So did Owen suspect Luke to be strong with the force already when he was a kid since he must have found it weird that Luke had a illusion of his father as a kid.
I mean Anakin had a huge impact on his life in a indirect way, it would make sense that Owen would remember quite a lot about him.

To me that is an extremely ridiculous leap in logic to think Owen recognizes the name Annie after hearing it once years prior and makes the connection Anakin is Darth Vader much less that Anakin is still alive.

I was understanding of why Disney first tossed out the EU as it was massive and convoluted but now? Kennedy just wanted to do it her way with people like Johnson and it blows. Stuff like bleeding a crystal makes no sense with past Sith wars. There just wasn’t enough Jedi per every Sith who usually had greater numbers. It is something that is superficially cool but falls apart the moment you try to build beyond its base.

The Krayt dragon is to me proof, that this was, at best, just a dream. Nobody can tell me that they would have brought down that beast, not with a weapon like the one they had.
