Absolutely marvellous ✌️❤️🐕🦺⚓️😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Jess very clearly understands the words 'Walk' and 'Swim' from the reaction on her face.
Well Dave you're in good hands now that Jess is going with you 😂. Jess apparently does better than I ever would 🤣🤣🤣... Cheers 🫖
Dave you really seem to know all the terminology surrounding sailing. I’m learning new terms every time. F’ing blue sunshine and F’ing main sail 😜
Great video Dave & wonderful to see Jess again. Think she and Dan enjoyed the experience too!🐾❤️🐾⛵️.
Just need a little model Routemaster in there to complete the picture!
Lovely to see Jess on the boat. I could see in her eyes she has complete trust in you, particularly they way she looks to you for reassurance. Great to see you can share all this with the family, including Jess.
I am watching with interest from across the pond. I have a new boat building and am about six months from commissioning. Many of the things that you are adding to your boat I will need for mine. I have done quite a bit of sailing in the past and have owned several sailboats. But, I have been out of sailing for the past 15 years or so other than a 15 foot cat boat. Much of the equipment has evolved during my absence. So, it is good to see what you are upgrading.
Thanks for watching. I’m glad the videos have been useful 👍
So, if I've missed it, please tell us about yr gd self and especially how you got to be such a good filmer and editor✌️😊 Cheers and thanks ⚓️🐬
Thank you, that’s a really nice compliment. I’ve not had any formal video production training, everything is self taught. Although my background is radio so I have many years experience in audio production so I guess video was a natural progression. 👍
A good father and son bonding a good sail
That was really encouraging - I have a Dufour 36 Classic and a nearly 4 year old GSD but never introduced the two but thinking of changing that!!
Good luck with it Jason, keep me posted on how you get on. 🐶
Super professional production with all the emotive elements: dog, dad and son (in the water), great music, super edit - and a story. Gold star! Loved it, wish I liked the water.
Thanks Denis, glad you are enjoying the sailing videos - bit different from the buses!! 🤣
Thanks for the ipad clamp info
No problem 👍
What a sweet Lab. I’m so glad she took to the life jacket. How do you get the salt water off her so it doesn’t dry her skin?
Nice video👍 while learning the boat you could use both sails partly reefed. When lerning to drive a car you spend some time in first gear, and increase over time.
Nice to see your son and Jess coming out with you . When are you going to persuade you wife to come out sailing lol . Nice video. 👍
Great to see Jess again and wonderful to meet (virtually) your son. Lovely video Dave.
Dave I really do like your editing and putting a video together as always perfect video and it was really nice to see Jess again. And when you had the main sail up and the boat was tilting I would of shat myself lol as I’ve capsized before wasn’t very nice.
Love this - you have been really good with her ❤ I have a Rottweiler which is my shadow and I am looking for a sailing yacht and my concern is he has to be happy 🐕🩷
Thank you 👍, Yes that was my concern too, you just have to be patient with them and with some positive encouragement, they get used to it. 🐕🦺❤️🐕🦺
Great stuff! Well done both of you. Best wishes from Plymouth
Here is my comment, enjoy reading it. 😂
In your opinion, what is the most stabilising sail to use in heavy weather: the main or the fore sail (genoa)? Thanks for the brill videos ✌️🌸
Hi, I’d say the main but only because I have in mast furling so I can reef the sail to any size. ⛵️
enjoy the videos, A big like. could you tell me where you got the iPad clamp from in uk please
Hi Gary. Thanks for watching the videos. The iPad mount is by a company called Railblaza….

Another great episode, thank you…what’s happened to your cushions?
Didn’t look like the wind turbine was very effective.
It might be an idea to take Jess swimming with her life jacket on, she'll then get the idea that it's half as much work and she floats in it. At the moment Jess has absolutely no idea why you are putting her in it apart from the fact she probably feels warmer.
On another subject when you mentioned that Jess had not been on the boat because of the high harbour wall it reminded me of how The Man Who Sued God got his dog down to the water ua-cam.com/video/H-44lByaiNY/v-deo.html
What happened to the gents who worked at the bus garage with you formerly? Either of them have a channel?
I do wonder the same, I hope they are doing well.
your making my want to buy a boat😠
