This song is about how at such a young age, him basically reaching the top of the mountain and no one was there for him, he didn't know who was real or not. He grew up meeting people who liked him only for his power and money. He couldn't reach out to anyone because how are you gonna understand 16 year old with problems like this. People thought, "You're 16 and Rich, what problems do you have?" Then making all the mistakes he did because he was heavily influenced at such a young age. Everyone across the world saw him make dumb and stupid decisions he was severely criticized because of those decisions, hence "Idiot kid". It just shows what money and fame really do to people...😔 This shit hurt man....It's really sad. The outfit is from his "My World Tour". He was 15-16 yrs old. The theater is technically full but because he felt so alone. He didn't really see anybody in the crowd when he performed.
In my opinion the older Justin in the crowd, and the fact that he is still alone, signifies how Justin really only had himself, then and now. There's a part of the song where he says something like "everybody saw me sick and it felt like nobody gave a shit", and only Justin being in the crowd maybe represents the fact that he was really the only one who cared about himself (or rather older Justin feels for his younger self and cares for that little boy who at such a young age was so lonely and constantly ripped to shreds by the media). The younger version looks no where in particular, maybe because he didn't even feel like he had himself; whereas the older version now has a clear view and understanding for how he felt and what was done to him, witch is why he looks directly at young Justin. At least that's how I see it. In the end we only really truly have ourselves. The song, the video... everything was so powerful and it really makes you think.
You are the only reaction video I've watched that touched on the fact that when young justin is on the stage like he is about to preform, the only thing he says is "i'm so lonely" and that's so important to the message and film wise, he goes out there to give US a show while inside, feeling so alone and we had no idea.
Love your representation of the song! Been fan of Justin since his very beginning of the career and never could understand how people could hate on this guy. He did his best, but if you come to a fame in such an early stage of life, you become like an animal in a zoo... Happy for him he is in a better place now. subscribed!
Finally someone who actually says something worthwhile. All these reaction videos here questioning whether that may be a young biebs or what the message of the song may be. Wtf. Anyway, thumbs up.
You don’t know exactly who you will be or what you will look like in the future so the younger Justin doesn’t even see himself there (because he can’t). But the older Justin can always look back and see his younger self, and if nothing else, he can be there for that kid who will always exist inside him. That’s my take on the ending there.
I liked your commentary. I've watched a few on here and in particular What moved me and was reassuring what is your comment at the end that his adult self is looking at his younger self saying everything will be OK. I sure hope so he receives such brutal treatment from the public for so long.
Thank you for being the only reactor to point out him singing those words at the end. What I think is that not only did he see himself that way as a kid but the scene where he's watching himself is a representation of him watching his old performances and seeing an empty, little kid who has all of these people around him but in reality there is no one because he didn't have anyone he valued in his heart, with him. It shows the duality of reflection being done back then and now.
Just subscribed, I’m really digging your content. Hopefully there’s gonna be more in the future. I don’t know if you have already, but I’d recommend reacting to The Weeknd’s music. Party Monster is my favorite, but to be honest I think you’d get the best experience of him as an artist by starting with his earliest records and then going from there
How i see it at the end with both young Justin and present Justin is that all he ever had was himself. It was always him with himself with no one to share how he really felt.
If you enjoyed, please leave a like, it helps a ton, thank you!!
Hey kids personal and he shares how he really was feeling and he had a hot it all even know he was sick nobody could give a s*** oh wow
C'mon this can actually win an Grammy
It was phenomenal, I agree

Thank you for such a detailed response, makes complete sense.
@@RicoReacts Love the vid, you did a great job of explaining. Appreciate it!
Glad u talked about the meaning of the music. Great reaction.

Love how detailed you were with this Nikolina! Thank you so much : )
Justin cried seeing the kid play him. He was crying watching it all. And this I think was all one take..
: )

Thank you Patrick!!
Justin is looking back at his younger self how he felt at that age and what mistakes he made how lonely he was
Great perspective
I think older Justin is just reflecting and feeling the emotion of it, but also knowing it gets better for him.
Great reaction by the way. Really enjoyed how you broke it down instead of just saying it was good or bad.
Love this take
Great reaction, loved the breakdown from all aspects.
Thank you so much

@@RicoReacts I enjoyed the reaction, man. God bless you.
Did you notice that the whole video was shot with one camera without any break or editing? Jacob Tremblay's acting was great.
They picked the perfect Actor to play Justin. That kid can act. Did a great job pulling off the emotion of being alone.
Way too many pauses. Watch the damn video and then make all your comments. Ugh.
At the time...he WAS just a kid. Thirteen/Fourteen.

Your input on when the director wanted the young Bieber to sing made complete sense. I didn’t think about it like that.
Thank you Drew!

I loved the ending of it
That's so freaking sad song :( #Belieber
It's a reflection and telling the story no one was aware of
