Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary Uttarakhand | Stay at KMVN Binsar | Trek To Zero Point | Vikram Xplorer

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is a small wildlife conservation area in the Almora District of Uttarakhand. It is about 25 km Almora. The sanctuary was established in 1988 for the conservation and protection of the shrinking broad leaf oak (Quercus) forests of the Central Himalayan region. It has over 200 bird species. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary spreads over 45.59 km. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary altitude varies from 900 to 2500 metres with an average height of 2412 metres. There is a small trek of about 2 Kms to Zero Point Binsar from where you will have magnificent view of the Himalayas.
Within the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, there are a few resorts that provide a peaceful stay among dense forests. We stayed at KMVN Tourist Rest House Binsar, Ph 9967534035. Stay at the KMVN Binsar was a very nice experience for us as it was nestled inside the jungle and has a great of the himalayan ranges.

Apart from what Vikramji suggested for Binsar - the best places to stay at Club Mahindra Binsar Valley or Villa Cottages which is 5000+ ft above sea level. Moreover you don't have to bear the hardships of electricity as the resorts are fully equipped with solar panelling. The food is best of the Class you can get at Uttarakhand. This is 15 kms ahead of the wild life sanctuary - more inside in the heart of Binsar town.
