In my Symmes Twp yard, the wintercreeper has crown gall and has spread it as it creeps rapidly across. In just a few years, all the sugar maples are dead or dying.

Our two month old puppy likes to spend a lot of time in a small patch of euonymus - she has developed an allergy - lots of scratching and red belly - could it be because of this plant?

I have this all over my wooded lot. I keep it cut iff of trees. I like that it helps choke out other weeds. It seems like a good idea to try to replace it with another dense ground cover. Is there something you would recommend?

I only watched this because it said invasive, replace with native. But you never mentioned a single native plant to replace them with.

    Will it harm my tree?

I have it infesting my yard (Western MO) and was told that it would harm a tree, since its rhizomes will eat under the bark and could, if it ate enough, kill the tree's ability to move water up to the leaves. I pulled it out anyhow without checking, since I'm interested in wiping it out in my entire yard. Between the Winter Creeper and English Ivy, I'm losing my mind.

@@SmilingIbis thank you so much. I ended up hacking mine from the root at the ground and it seems like all the vines died from their color now. I'm gonna pry it down off the tree soon
