First time poster long time watcher. Love watching all your videos GP. From back in the day with motion sickness and audio from two tin cans tied with a string to professional camera gear with multiple angles and top notch audio. I just recently found a great deal on the exact same blower that you have (used only one season) for my LX3310. A purchase we needed for the future on our land in Eagle River Wisconsin. I have watched and rewatched your videos with excellent instructions on installing and uninstalling the blower. Great job as always! Also love the videos with your neighbor guy. He is one of the few left out there that knows a ton about just about anything. Great to learn from. Hope all is well and Thank you for one day deciding to dedicate time into the you tube world!
Good morning and thanks for the nice comments and long time support! LOL, yup I remember those days for sure. Congrats on the good find and wish you and yours all the best!
It's sad that at 72 I can easily afford to put a front snowblower on my Kubota but what's holding me back is my driveway is only about 120 feet long and as I have a rear blade a bucket and I also built my own snow pusher do I really have a need for one. It would be nice to see that new snow fly 30 feet off the drive but time will tell. I couldn't imagine doing your driveway or is it a back road without the equipment you have. I suppose if I was to get a snowblower I would definitely need that heated cab to keep that freezing snow off the face. This was a good video to watch.
Hey good morning. It's a long one for sure but much more enjoyable now with heat. But I would probably do the same as you if the driveway was much shorter. Thanks for tuning in !
The problem with a blade or pusher, is that you need to push that snow somewhere. A blower provides more options. I have both, front blower, rear blade, and usually push or pull the snow to the driveway end, turn around and chuck that snow into the ditches. I live on a street with many retirees (Orillia area), and end up doing 9 or so driveways, so the blower really comes in handy. Party on.
I'm using a cab'ed 1981 Case, before that I was using a ferguson open cab, both with inverted rear blowers, both RWD. I've also used walk behind blowers for years, and a friend has a frontloader with separate front snowblower (with it's own engine) for heavy duty snow removal. With a front mounted blower you always start blowing from whichever end of your driveway that doesn't have wind blowing in your face, never point the nozzle against the wind, that's ASKING for discomfort. I do my best to keep moisture away from the tractor before I park it (it could freeze and render it dysfunctional, I've had hydraulic steering freeze, PTO clutch lever freeze, etc, because of just ONE speck of moisture), it's a bit of a challenge in itself making sure none the snow that get's thrown out drifts back onto the tractor 😁
@ Missed a trip to Norway when I was stationed in Germany for 4 years back in the late 70s. I know all about walk behind blowers and the wind and turning the blower shoot away from the wind just to have the wind switch and it's in your face again. I went out and bought a plastic snow windshield and after that I didn't care about the wind or snow blowing back on me. I retired in 2019 and said I would never use a walk behind blower again so I bought the new Kubota. I have ample room to push any amount of snow away so big piles getting bigger is not a problem. The one real lucky thing I have is that my shop is heated so whatever snow gets on my tractor is melted off and my Tractor has never spent the night outside.
😜✌️As always I appreciate the never boring outdoor journeys, that allow me to vicariously live the outdoor life 🤣 Thanks fellas 🇨🇦⚔️ God Bless us All 🇺🇸🙏✝️
2000 gallons of propane is a beautiful sight to me! better yet my fully loaded lx2620 comes tomorrow. Looking forward to clearing off the driveway of my new property. Only 500gallon tank!
Good Evening Mon Ami GP 🖐🖐😇 Guy Is A True Canadian, He Knows Very Well The Real Good Advantages Of Having An Open Station Tractor 😇👍🤣🥶 This Incoming Monday The 20 Jan at night Going to be -30°c and wind factor close -40°c 🥶😇👍Yes We are very lucky to live in Canada 👍👍😇👌🍁Keep Warm🔥👌😇👍Cheers 🍻🍻
You have the same view I have, Kubota LX with a front blower. It’s oddly satisfying to blow snow and I really enjoy doing it as well. Thanks for the video
Hello Gord, and Guy. Here in upstate NY we have had a lot of Cold Weather, Wind, but hardly any Snow on the Ground. Makes it nice for Cutting my Logs up for Firewood. Putting the Trimmed Rounds in the Garage and Splitting up on my 5ton Electric Splitter in the Basement. Maple, Oak, and Locust. Getting another Load of Logs in Mid- February. Keeps me Busy. Going out again on Friday for More Cutting of Rounds. Always great to See you and Guy working Together. Can't wait to See what the Delivery is. Ron from the Woodyard in Upstate NY.
Be safe and keep warm my friend. Always wonderful to see you and others are getting out there, despite the cold, and keeping active. Thanks for saying hello. Have a nice weekdend!
Great to see you and Guy out playing with your snow toys, Gord! I’ve been watching the streamers on radar off Georgian Bay/Lake Huron for the last couple of weeks, hoping some would stretch to eastern Ontario, but no such luck. We had about 25 cam of snow on the ground before Christmas, but it all melted in that crazy 5 day meltdown/rain in late December. We’ve picked up maybe 6-8 cm over the last few days, but nowhere near enough to dust off the sled. There’s snow and the riding is good down in the Tug Hill area of upstate NY, but I was almost killed down there by out-of-control (and/or drunk) other riders on two separate occasions when I rode there 30+ years ago, and I swore I’d never go back. From what I’ve seen on the forums, it hasn’t changed much - many still ride bar to bar and there’s already been a fatality down there this year. I’ll stick to Ontario (maybe up your way!) and perhaps even venture a trip to Quebec this season. Wishing you, family, and friends the very best for 2025!
Hi GP, Thanks for another great snow blowing video! Unfortunately in Northern Wisconsin we are still lacking snow. The sled trails are still closed. It's really discouraging as they never opened last year. Businesses are really hurting for customers. Hopefully we still might have some good snows as I really itching for some trail riding. It looks like Sandy from "Sawing with Sandy" is hording all the snow! LOL Take Care, Tom
Hey Gord thanks for another great video, you are right it's always more enjoyable doing things with a good buddy, and it seems you have some good buddies there to enjoy a laugh with have a coffee or maybe even a cold beverage of choice. We don't have much snow here yet it seems each winter is less and less hoping to get enough to get at least one good ride on my sled but if not I will just take the quad. Have a wonderful day and keep smiling.
Gord, it’s so good to see you and Guy working together! Isn’t it wonderful to have friends to share your passion for everything outdoors! Keep ‘em coming! Greetings from Stuart, Florida!
Great video young man!! Well two buddies out havin fun playin in the snow. Well I'm like your buddy i have kioti 3520se shuttle shift open station i cleared 6 inches of snow last Friday my driveway and the county roads around my neighbourhood with my 3 point Angle blade our county road district don't maintain the roads. I've been thinkin bout runin for road commissioner they will do their job or go down road kickin a can lol . I drove a big truck for 38 year's i just enjoy doin whatever on my tractor that's my happy place get to enjoy what the good lord gave us. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun
Good evening Gord from snowmaggedon SSMarie. The snow just hasn’t stopped. One of the snow clearing companies in the city said we are around 300cm of snow to date! My BX2380 is getting a workout this winter. Lately we are getting 2” to death. I shovelled the driveway twice today and it’s covered again. Lake Superior is handing us a whack of lake effect snow. Our first dump in November was 36”-40” overnight! Then it kept coming for a week. They are calling for snow all week with no let up. You’d have a blast with your tractor here probably make a tidy profit doing driveways. Glad to see a new video from you take care.
GP quick question for ya. I don’t know what kind of gate you have. But I have a regular ranch style or cattle style gate on the driveway to my cabin. I make monthly visits to do regular maintenance and such during the winter and just plain enjoy the season. My problem is that we will get 12-24” of snow that freezes on the gate and when I visit I’m have to spend at least an hour in the dark and cold shoveling and ice breaking the gate free. Do you have any ideas to help make that easier? Thanks GP!
LOL. that brings back memories. I can't picture the style of gate exactly but I had two big issues - the lock freezes during the winter ( I have spent alot of money on different "winter" rated locks over the years and they all freeze )- so I carry a propane torch in my truck all winter. The other was your issue. The gate I installed, I made sure to install 10 inches above the ground ( I wish I had raised it a few more inches). I very seldom have to dig to it free since. Not sure if that helps you but I certainly remember those times - and it was always freezing cold when I would be out there fighting with it. LOL. Good luck and hope you figure it out. Cheers!
So relaxing to watch you guys blowing snow. Watching from Newfoundland-Labrador, and we haven't had much snow this year, which is unusual for us. Thanks for another great video Gord. Hoping you and your family are well. Be careful out there, safety first. 👍☺
Morning - that's a great question. I never get branches stuck in there - it eats them up pretty good. It's the little rocks that come up and get in there once in a while but it doesn't jam the augers - it will cause a sheer pin to snap and then i just replace the pin. Cheers!
Gord - as soon as I saw snow in the thumbnail I thought " I wonder if he misses getting out on the trail with the sled" Looks like you have a pretty good base going down. I hope things are going well with your Lasernug channel. Happy winter!
go for it . i loved our day of night snowmoble trips to old now 88 and in a wheelchair . main problem maciular degeration . so sir go for it when you can just retired 3 years ago . oh ell still beautiful country vankleek hill on ,y farm rightnext to snomobile trail . god bless the poter familt . thank you for the great content .
Just got the same back blade installed with hydraulics on my lx2610. Any tips of snow removal with it so as to only remove the snow and leave the ground undisturbed. It does not appear to have a float like your FEL. TIA
Good morning. Yes, I shorten my top link alot so the blade is angled in towards the tractor, which causes it to want to scrape more than to dig. Cheers!
Me too. I was really close to ordering them but I knew how the R4's work and I just didn't want to take the risk/cost of trying the R14's. But many folks are telling me they are much better in the winter. Have a nice week and thanks for your comment. :))
Love the Vid Gord… here in west central Hoosier state e got 8.5 “ ? does you fellow Kubota bud wear a Snowmobile helmet? I still have a open cab 3560 an use a snowmoblile helmet. an Im good to go. Great footage. Be Well
I'm not far away from getting a tractor and am debating the extra cost of a front vs rear mount blower. I know the advantages of a front mount but just can't pull the pin on the extra cost. I sold my old sled this fall, just not enough good sledding weather on PEI any more, climate change is real here my friend.
It certainly is. So, my own thoughts. If your driveway is short, then save the money and get a rear mount blower. If it is long like mine then remember, that these attachments will outlive you. Maintain them well and your kids will inherit them in great working condition. I wish I could give you better advice bit hope this has helped a little. Cheers!
Gordon, how far is it to the nearest town from where you are there? You don't know how bad I wish I could move north of the border and leave the circus behind. Stay Frosty! -Everett

Why doesn't Guy have a comfort cab on his tractor ???? 😊😊
Out of curiosity, how many hours have you logged on that tractor of yours so far?
