Networks regularly continue to report claims that were debunked by video footage 24 hours in. People need to realize that the product which drives journalism is not information. The consumers who click / view the ads are the crop. And yes, this applies to all the institutions you think wouldn't possibly mislead you. They become more efficient at handling the crop year by year.
