Thanks for sharing. I've watched a lot of blade sports cutting vids over the years and some of these tests are great ideas, like that tip test lol. It looked like Lin was using one of his famous brute de forge X-Rhea bowies, those are always really neat to see and are beautifully forged. Lots of familiar faces here and fun to watch, thanks again.
I didn't go this year, but wishing I had now. I video'd the first cutting competition a couple years ago, but didn't even think about putting it on UA-cam. Fun times, and Jerry is a hoot.
I wish I could've gone but I was at the Steephollow Forgeworks Combo-Demo this past weekend with friends from FIF. I saw my friend Johnny Stout won best folder at the AKS, I hope to go next year if the combo demo isn't the same weekend.
At least you had a good reason. Hopefully your schedule lines up better next year.
i am a aspiring knife maker in Arkansas im green as can be but learning fast id love to get involved with something like this once i get my skills up
It is a good show. The American Bladesmith Society also has a couple of Hammer-Ins in Old Washington (Southwest AR).
Is there somewhere i can find knife size limits and rules for that? I wanna build one and go next year?
Here is a link to this year’s specs: arknife.com/sharpest-man-competition
Fun to watch, Allen. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
