    Epiphone, is there a chance that you will start selling original Epiphone custom parts? knobs, truss rod covers, pickups frames and others like in the case of Gibson guitars? It will be a great idea.

    Nice move towards a better product overall. It's pricey, yes, but the features are there to match the price tag. Really nice additions technical wise and closer than ever to a real Gibson. I'm a proud owner of a Lazarus and a Bonamassa ES335 from the latest batches and they play and feel just great already, not to mention the 2-piece body and 1-piece neck. People complain about indian laurel, but it's the price to pay (or rather not) compared to a Gibson. Veneer is also a clear disadvantage, but if we're luck enough, we can get a good(ish) veneer on these 59s. It would be great to see an AAAA top like they put in the Lazarus. That looks quite ok and 3D and can fool many people out there.

      That's bs. You get rosewood and ebony very commonly in cheaper guitars than this. It's just corporate penny pinching. Laurel is unplayably rough and looks hideous. It's useful for like 'rustic' furniture. Laurel looks like rosewood that's been overwintered outside.

    Repeating myself here from another video but here goes...
    If Epiphone is going to introduce "Inspired by Gibson" then when are you going to release the original....the Les Paul Standard in Gold Top with cream P90's.
    You were 90% of the way there with the JJN Gold Glory, just add in the neck P90 (don't change anything else, especially the neck carve).

      @@aperezdeal I'll second that as well. (but the LPJr offered in the regular lineup and the BJA) but not one carved top LP with P90s anywhere in the line up.

    The only thing missing is a nitrocellulose finish and a rosewood fretboard. You would be better off purchasing a Gibson Tribute while they are still available.

      So, a Gibson Tribute with the crap 490 pickups is better than this Epi with Custombuckers?

    The only thing that matters isn't to spec.
    The distance between bridge and the P.U.'s
    People wonder what I'm talking about... Go check string harmonics.
    The difference is very much like hitting or missing pinched harmonics.
    This case, the bridge is about a bridge thickness too far from the bridge P.U. (and therefore will never sound like the real deal.... Why buy a gibson when you can buy an epi with the exact same specs)

    You really should proof read the text before posting. The text says “first” instead of “burst”. Sort of makes the whole thing seem you don’t really care. Other than that I think the Tokai Loves Rock models are a much better guitar. Better balanced and better tones. Peace ✌🏽

    • @Edward1312
      @Edward1312 3 місяці тому +2

      But I'd like to remind you that Tokai Love Rock cant be sold in the US (the biggest guitar market in the World btw), there are no retailers because if they tried they would receive an immediate cease and desist letter from Gibson.

    • @notecrackervideos
      @notecrackervideos 3 місяці тому

      Hi Edward. It was my impression that Gibson lost all the copy cases, except for use of their logo. Anyway, I live in Denmark and have readily access to Tokai guitars. Peace man. ✌🏽

      Edward, many Japanese music shops will gladly ship to America in alot of cases for free, you just have to pay the import duties if the instrument is over $800 usd ..
      I usually get guitars from Japan in 7-8 day's the almost always breeze through customs within hours of arrival from Japan.. I've yet to receive a guitar that wasn't as advertised and didn't arrive in specified condition, I've never received a broken guitar from Japan... You can currently purchase 59 spec Tokai's for $2000-$2500 not $6k-$50k
      Also did you know that all Tokai love rocks are built after an original1958 burst that the Tokai factory still owns today? That's why their tops look like they do,they has a true to spec carved top and it's a 1/1 perfect replica of an original 58 burst...
