I would begin with Ruin, Bane and Plagueis and frame them as three lessons given by Sidious to his three apprentices. Bane-Maul, Ruin-Dooku, Plagueis-Anakin. Make them like a pilot episodes. Other Sith can come later.

Any thoughts? I don't want to make it too massive, maybe about the size of '03 Clone Wars. Edit: On further reflection, the above way of storytelling would be too confusing. I think the framing would need be more monolithic, very singular. So, I think it should be told through Holocrons. Maybe a young Sidious is working his way through the archives?
