I expected very little from this video but it delivered quite a lot. The way the team played in the Bowl game, with genuine passion, and the innovation of the play calling which was perfectly executed, has left USC fans feeling more optimistic than we have since the HBC. The massive boost brought on by Rattler and Stogner, the excellent incoming recruits, and the number of players opting to return because they want to play for Shane Beamer just increased that optimism a hundred fold. Then since the Bowl game, seemingly every day brought the announcement of another major addition through the portal...and suddenly a 7-6 Carolina team is the buzz of the SEC. The Muschamp years were so hopeless and desultory, I was actually losing interest in watching the games for the first time in my life (and I was around for Sparky Woods!!!) In one season Beamer changed that completely. Even the fact that the National Champion now resides in the SEC East is actually good for Carolina. It shines even more light on the East when it comes to recruits, and gives USC a massive stepping stone to national prominence when they play (and eventually beat) Georgia. So the future hasn't looked so bright since the heydays of JD, Lat, Alshon, Gilly, Melvin, Connor, DJ, etc etc. GO COCKS!
Around for Bell, Morrison, Woods, and Scott. I think Scott was worse than Woods. Scott won a bowl with Woods' recruits. Woods. Had to turn down a bowl. The administration didn't do him any favors. Not to say he'd have done much. I'd just rather have won a bowl with Woods than Scott.
@@davidfence6939 Yeah I watched those teams too, although honestly I completely forgot Brad Scott. You're right that he got USC's first ever Bowl win with Sparky's recruits. But that was at a time when getting even an assistant from a big name school was considered a HUGE coup. Great video man. I am very excited about the trajectory of My Gamecocks. Coach Beamer has done some great work so far. He has changed the culture and is starting to stack some talent onto the roster. And it seems like the SEC East in general is getting better, hopefully before long there will be more balance in the SEC with the East competing with the West, from the top to bottom.
Subbed. If Rattler's Instagram is anything to go by he has been full steam ahead with training. He can say whatever he wants, but one of his top priorities is to improve his draft stock. He gets to play against SEC opponents including the defending national champion, Georgia, and a top 10 Texas A&M team. Both in Columbia. He gets to play a team that prior to this year had been in the CFP most years since 2015 in Clemson aka Pickens County Pride. He will have ALL the TV coverage via ESPN and SEC Network. If he doesn't fold, works out his mobility, improves his accuracy, and the offensive line plays well he could make himself a first round pick (didn't say first pick! Read!). Along with Stogner, Beamer brought in an FCS All-American WR (has draft eligibility at end of season) and a solid RB. There's also returning Josh Vann, Jahiem Bell, and Ahmarean Brown (was underutilized). If the offensive line improves and Satterfield makes decent play calls that's a prolific offense. Clayton White took an FCS transfer and made him a 2nd team Walter Camp All-American. He took a secondary with holes and transfers and markedly improved over the prior year's defense. He will now have a season of experience in the SEC and he's bringing in the NCST DE and a 2 time All-MAC DB in Devonni Reed. Didn't even mention the recruiting class. I think the floor is 7 wins in the regular season. Anything lower would be under performing. 8-9 is the sweet spot. Will be tested early on the road with Arkansas and then Georgia in Columbia. If they either beat Arkansas on the road or pull off a monumental win over Georgia they'll be prepared to hit 9 and push some toss-ups/leaning losses to wins. How Beamer and his staff recruit and develop. And getting back to the Spurrier era wins over UK, Mizzou, UF, and Tennessee will decide everything. Wet Blanket time...with UT East and Chokelahoma joining the SEC shortly, it's going to become even HARDER to win it all. Y'all had a great, surprising season in 2021.
I got Carolina winning 6 or 7 games In 22-23. For starters, their schedule in Beamer's first season was VERY easy for an SEC schedule. Florida quit by the time they played the Gamecocks. Auburn had lost Bo Nix by then. The Vandy and ECU wins came down to a last second victory. Those are 4 games right there that easily could have gone the other way to leave South Carolina at a 3-9 record. Not taking away from anything the Gamecocks accomplished. But this "Clemson is looking as bad as they have in the last 10 years" Clemson team still won 30-0 IN Columbia with the worst QB Clemson has had in over a decade -- and they have the best QB in the country signed and will be on campus in January. This game I thought showed a LOT of where things are in the Palmetto State still as this game was believed by many 'experts' to be a chance for Carolina to seriously threaten the Tigers and it ended up being a beat down in the form of a shutout. They definitely played better than they did under Muschamp. But the 22 year, they won't take anyone by surprise and will get better shots from all teams on their schedule. So as I stated, they will win 6 or 7 games at most. I'd like to point out I'm just a college football fan who occasionally posts comments on UA-cam videos and do not proclaim in anyway to be a CFB expert. Just giving my 2 cents on what I saw and what I believe will happen.
@@frankhaiglernj as stated I'm not taking anything away from their victories. But this was Bo Nix's first game absent so Auburn had to introduce a new QB unexpectedly. And TJ was in no way shape or form the reason Auburn was competitive against Alabama. Against South Carolina at the end of the day, the Gamecocks had more points when the clock hit 00:00 so that's all anyone will remember.
I think people are sleeping on a few teams in the SEC. Carolina being one of them. Missouri I think is all of a sudden looking pretty solid next year. Especially if they figure out their quarterback situation. Kentucky is obviously looking good in the current era too.
Props to SC. Love from Blacksburg. Shane will turn you guys around, setting records soon. May take 3-4 seasons but he'll have you competing for the SEC East. I only hope we get to play him in Lane Stadium once Coach Pry gets a few recruiting classes under him

I feel bad for Carolina fans because it isn't easy to win in the SEC. They wont beat Georgia so the best they'll do is second in the east, they wont beat Tennessee, texas AM, Florida, I think they have to understand that finishing second in the east is their ceiling. They can do that and still get 10 wins. If you look at their trophy case than you would agree. I think Beamer was the right hire, he will eventually beat Clemson, probably 2 or 3 years away but they need to keep Beamer and once Georgia starts having bad years they can try to win, that's probably 5 or 6 years away.
You do realize that in the not-so-distant past, South Carolina was beating Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida pretty often. This was while Georgia was still in the top 10. I believe we've nearly split the series with Georgia if you look back over the last 10-15 years.
@@PK1982_ The last time UGA beat Alabama was 2007, but that was the first year with Saban and during overtime. We did it in 2010, when they had already started to become a powerhouse.
Great video and I agree something special is happening at SC. I know wouldn't want to be a Tiger, or a Bulldog this coming season. SC has plenty of getback coming!
The gap between the Gamecocks vs the Tigers and Bulldogs is still huge. One has the longest winning streak in P5 and one just won a Natty. I really don't see what SC has done that any other team on their schedule hasn't done. If not absolutely sucking is the new standard, then congrats. Having not beaten a single ranked team and losing by 30 to the ones that were, is exactly where the program stands. Feelings and hope of the fanbase doesn't translate to wins.
While SC does have a bright future, Smart and the Bulldogs have a 5+ year Headstart, and JUST won a natty. Not to mention a top 3 recruiting class for the 4th straight year. South Carolina can make some noise in the East. But it’s gonna take a few years
@@ketchupking8742 Don't forget that the Gamecocks could make a name for themselves if they knock off Georgia like we did when we played Alabama. Georgia is going to have their hands full come GameDay. Our offense is going to be really fast and explosive.

Yes! As a Mississippi State fan, I fully expect South Carolina to be a major threat in the west
Are you sure about that. And I’m a gamecocks saying this.
Dude, y’all have Rattler coming in. He is an extremely underrated quarterback. And y’all were improving throughout the year last year… aside from the Clemson game. I think you should have some expectation for next year ngl
@@cornbob976 thanks and as satterfeild (our OC which I think he is not a good fit for the long term.) said everybody THINKS you suck. Which they are basing off of the past.

Shane is the future...Spurrier quiting on us took the program back 5 years and muschamp was a good recruiter...give beamer 3 years will be on the SEC championship
As A Carolina fan I'm very optimistic of the next season. I also believe Rattler will be our greatest QB on record
As a life long game cock fan thank you for the video. It's about time people out there start putting some respect on Beamers name and what hes doing for the program
awesome video got my subscription
I was there. Champa Bay!!! Raymond James Stadium.
KEVIN DOESNT MISS
I have faith we can be SEC contenders!
As a Clemson fan, I hate to say this, but I have seen a slight increase in quality of their playing
Yea they looked real good against one of dabo's worst teams.
Beamer will not stay long enough to push to the top. Stepping stone for him. Good luck Dominating SEC.
What doo y'all think of South Carolina's recent moves? comment below.
Only up from here
Massive additions from the portal are gonna instantly improve this team.
In 2022, USC opponents will "Fear the AKC"! (Ass Kickin' Chicken!) 🤙
@@bobchapman6514 LOL you guys will have about 5 to 6 wins next year. Arkansas and Texas A&M from the west. Sorry but not many teams are going to fear SC on the schedule.
@@TicklesMyPickle1 Yea, Auburn and Florida were favored in both games and look how that turned out.
Love the background music from 1:17 to 4:29. What is the title and who is the artist?

The UA-cam Audio Library is an amazing thing!
Control the SEC? Yes if all players from Georgia and Alabama transfer to Columbia 😁😂
We're actually the old USC if "new" and "old" mean the age of the school.
RN no chasing UGA, AL, TAM but even worse for SC is Arkansas, FL, LSU, Kentucky, and Texas are all on the way up. SC is well positioned to compete for 4-7 in the SEC every year.
Wow. I wouldn't mind seeing USC take a step up, but I'd give a wee tap on the brakes there - at least until the Cocks can get a win over a middling SEC team like Tennessee, Missouri or Kentucky. Or at least sign a recruiting class that's not in the bottom half of the league.
We are the only school in the SEC who isn’t going through a rebuild. We already did and had to catch so much shit for it…..
Great vid!
Good vid, although as a long time Gamecock fan, I will believe it when I see it. Been to this rodeo before, although I do have hope this time. I think Beamer could make SC special. One thing never changes. Anytime SC is mentioned in a positive light and starts to be noticed, little Tater-tot hicks (Clems'Son fans for those who dont know) start coming out of the woodwork, disguised as history professors, doing their best to rain on the parade. I cannot wait to watch SC get back to becoming dominant again over those little upstate turds.
Never happen dude..... just hope you can win 1 out of 10. The GangKlucks are doomed to be fried chickun forever ! GO MIGHTY CLEMSON TIGERS !..... and Spencer Rattler is a bust.
It happened five times and one program went to CFP every year with two Nattys and the other had a coach say, "I'm done". Followed by absolute butt-whippings, another crap coach and now another coach nobody wanted. If Beemer has two good years of not sucking, he'll go to greener pastures. Which he should.
@@timkinley1779 Didnt hurt with you TaterTots playing the Dook's and Weak Florist's of the college football world, but you will never admit that. PPPPfffffffffttttttttt. Be gone tater boys.
@@freekoffhisleash And South Carolina. The non-power 5 teams put up more of challenge. South Carolina is worse than both of those programs. Especially considering they're private. I wonder who spends more per win... SC, Duke, or Wake? The two teams you mentioned aren't exactly trying to compete in football. While SC is doing everything possible and they still suck at it. Wake and Duke put up more of a fight than the ShameCocks. But who doesn't? Please get competitive. This was Clemson's worst year and SC's best in a long time and it was still an absolute curb-stomping.
ClemSux fans ALREADY hoping Shane Beamer moves on? BaHaHa!
Dont forget s.c.was 2 and 8 in 2020!7 and 6 is a great yr after 2 and 8!even if s.c.goes 8 and 4 in the regular season and wins its bowl game thats 9 and 4 and probably in the top 25!thats a really great yr at s.c.!btw im a 60 yr fan!go gamecocks!
Wet Blanket time...with UT East and Chokelahoma joining the SEC shortly, it's going to become even HARDER to win it all. Y'all had a great, surprising season in 2021.
I'm looking forward to them in the sec... Hook Em and Go Cocks
As a South Carolina dropout I feel like this video was meant specifically for me
I got Carolina winning 6 or 7 games In 22-23.
So TJ Finley played in the SC game and the Alabama game and almost beat Bama, so I wouldn't say Nix was why they lost, we were just better that day.
USC IS NOT THE NEW USC THEY ARE TGE ORIGINAL USC.
Def on the up and up!
Awesome video! Go Gamecocks!
i like how he talks abt hype. doesn’t talk about ole miss.
They won 7+ in '17 and '18, '21
Over 7 games, not 7 games or over. My B if I said it wrong there.
Shoot out to all the varsity players in South Carolina from 2006-2010.
I immediately liked the video after the intro
I think people are sleeping on a few teams in the SEC. Carolina being one of them. Missouri I think is all of a sudden looking pretty solid next year. Especially if they figure out their quarterback situation. Kentucky is obviously looking good in the current era too.
Props to SC. Love from Blacksburg. Shane will turn you guys around, setting records soon. May take 3-4 seasons but he'll have you competing for the SEC East. I only hope we get to play him in Lane Stadium once Coach Pry gets a few recruiting classes under him
PS ..we got Jason Brown through the portal. He'll get a chance to fight for a start and I wanna see what he's got outside of St Francis
That would be a fun game. Been years.

Nothing like a comparison to Jackson state to show how relevant South Carolina is.
Great video
You called it and guess who’s gonna be the main star 😎

From 2-10 to 7-6 with 4 different qbs
I think they did a great job
Don't like South Carolina (Tennessee fan) but man the SEC East is gonna be fun to watch this upcoming year. Can't wait to play y'all down in Columbia this year, go Vols !!!
How many sec titles does south Carolina have?
An eastern division nothing more
Spencer Ratler never had an invite to UGA
I’m a life long Carolina fan but I’m having a hard time even watching the games this yr. I wish they had laid low on all the hype that was built up on them this past summer. I’ll always be a fan. I just hope that before I die they have one hell of a winning season…….👍🏻👍🏻
love the video got a lot from it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣their trophy case has more cobwebs that a haunted house !🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Take control…. NO NOT EVEN CLOSE. competing In the sec needs to be their focus this year
Last year 2020 we allowed 36 a game only 26 or 27 average this year of football in 2021 other than that great information
Start promoting all the USC football players in the AFC and NFC championship games.
I seriously can't thank you enough for getting their hopes up.

Good video new sub here
Thanks for the sub!
beamer was leading CFB coaches in interactions before the mayo bath
Very well made video. Go Gamecocks
Plus we got antwone wells a wr if you don’t know about him look him up. Probably instant start
@@williamharpster5971 what's your record against Kentucky the last 10 years? Lol
@@richardway9890 That’s probably the most embarrassing part of South Carolina slide over the last 10 years
@@williamharpster5971 starting in 2000, UGA holds a 14-8 series advantage over South Carolina. Get your dabs elsewhere 👍
@@PK1982_ The last time UGA beat Alabama was 2007, but that was the first year with Saban and during overtime. We did it in 2010, when they had already started to become a powerhouse.

Opportunity exists for all teams!
Love and agree with everything in this video. Go Gamecocks!
@@justtellthetruth1134 Explosive and fast for SC's standard? Maybe. But they are still light years behind an above average offense. They were like 101st in offense this year. Only 20 teams were worst. Get a clue. If they are just two times better, they'll still be outside of the top 45.
Georgia ain't sweating over south carolina
The sec east always been a dawg fight n sc a big part of those seasons and was injuries we always had a lot of major injuries over the years to good players but it’s look like we baxk again hopefully
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 funniest title ever on youtube
Correction to be made. Since that hit in the Outback Bowl South Carolina has posted a 56-56 record! You forgot about the entire 2013 season because that hit happened on January 1st 2013 which is considered to be during the 2012 season! But after their win in the Capital One Bowl the next season they have gone 45-54! Make sure you get your numbers right before posting a video like this again!
Subtle comic delivery. But laughable nonetheless. South Carolina will be lucky to take control of Vanderbilt.
Y’all tripping.
USCjr will never come close to winning the SEC.
We are not the “new” USC
Check the founding dates of both schools. 😁🤙
WTF is the Duke's Bowl 🥣?!
Their game against Troy was kind of pitiful
Great video. You got one thing wrong though. Stogner committed first then Spencer followed. I like what you said though the program is definitely on an up trend.
After 125 years I believe they finally got it right
