It is helpful to see these debt updates. I don't have debt per se, but I'm starting to pay back money I took out of my personal savings for Christmas, and it's cool to see someone else also paying back money. I also enjoy seeing your amount go down; slow and steady wins the race, right? And people hating on you is wonky, especially during the holiday season- bah, humbug to them!

8kish CC debt is very manageable. You could do a 0% balance transfer for 12 months too I don't see why people are freaking out over a pretty normal amount of cc debt.
I love the "windfall effect", when you payoff the smallest amount first! Once it's paid off you take the monthly installment you use to pay, and apply it to the monthly installment of your 2nd lowest credit card until it's paid off, then continue on the next until they all paid off! Atleast you don't have kids because including that in the equation is a whole different conversation! Read the poem "Invictus" saying .... You're the Master of your fate! You're the Captain of your soul!

Sue I’ve been there and it sucks and it’s very unnerving. At one time during the 80’s and 90’s I had insurmountable card debt. My highest debt was over $45K. It took Me about 5 years to pay it off. The other card $22,576K took Me about 9 years to pay off. Keep Your head up and don’t let the haters get to You.

I had bought instruments like guitars, strings, pedals, picks, drums, sticks, skins, symbols, crash rides, double kick bass drum pedals, and amps. So yeah the money adds up over the years. I gave up music in the 90’s because I took care of My elderly Grandparents. I don’t regret it for one second.
I think some people trash you both intentionaly and unintentionaly. Intentionaly because they want to grow their own platforms and because they fear that problems of collecting physical media gets to be more widely discussed. You might bring in more viewers than people only thinking about your situation and then you could tell them what you’re doing specifically to help your situation and how it could help them also. You should pay off the one with the higher balance and highest rate first.
Either way is fine as long as it's getting paid and she's not spending.
If I pay off the smaller balance first, I can apply the extra money to the largest balance card and pay it down faster.
