I have the same car, It is awesome no problems at all 140 000 miles runs like new. I flush all the fluids, change all filters, changed all spark plugs and spark plug wires. Ceramic brake pads. Go to a great mechanic and have them do a 3 step fuel fuel injection cleaning service. Make sure they use BG products. It gets rid of all carbon build up The car roars now. Also use royal purple engine oil it is better then mobil 1 one oil. It drives like a race car now!!!! Also use Trico Titan wipers they work the best. use royal purple oil filter also change the serpentine belt every 80 000 miles to be safe. If your cube is 2014 or older change the wiper arms. The spring becomes weak over time and dont put the right amount of pressure on the wipers to work correctly.,,
I usually open the reservoir cap in the engine bay before pushing the piston back into the caliper and have not had to bled the brakes after a pad change.
When you bleed brakes make sure the cap is on the brake reservoir. Have your helper pump the brakes a few times and then hold them. Tell your helper that the pedal is going to go to the floor so they are not surprised. The bleeder valve will then be opened and the pedal will go to the floor. HELPER DO NOT TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE PEDAL WHEN IT GOES TO THE FLOOR UNTIL THE BLEEDER VALVE IS CLOSED AND YOUR TOLD OK YOU CAN LET IT COME BACK UP. I always fill the reservoir after each bleed to prevent air from being pumped into the system. It is very important for the person pumping the brakes to not let off the pedal until the bleeder valve is closed. When changing brakes do not let the caliber just hang there. You can cause internal damage to the caliber hose and then you get to learn how to replace brake lines. Use a bungee cord or the S holder to keep pressure off the hose. Disc brakes are so easy to do.
