Beautiful satin finishes, but you might have to decide between buying your teenager a used car and one of these guitars. It's a tough choice, but I hear public transportation is better for the environment or something. Save the planet, buy a PRS and make your kids ride the bus! You'll be the coolest dad on the block while you debate which was Clapton's best decade of music, which was the '80s, of course. RnR! 🎸👍
Nicely thought out. Let me know how that logic works on the spouse once you get out of the hospital. I suspect that a gloss finish might be less painful during the removal…
@@Peterbrendanalbert Well done, sir! My wife has given up, I think. Now, if I tried to buy one of these beautiful PRS Wood Library guitars, she might take notice and then I would have to have the removal surgery...
The purple one looks so good that I was actually tempted for a minute. Then I remembered that it's still 4000 smackaroos and I should really sort out my priorities :D
Great guitars. Also nice to see official sales and discounts happening. It’s about time consumers get to see some benefit after years of price gouging across all industries. It’s gonna continue this way. Collectibles like this are all going to drop in price another 10-30% before the bottom. Lots of deals to be had for years to come, only gonna get even better
They're being discounted because no one who is in the market for $4000 PRS wants a satin finish, so they need to unload them to make room for stuff that sells.
@@thesunabsolute no, it’s a demand issue, no doubt about it. The dealer network has been asking PRS, and all manufacturers, to provide them with sales incentives and discounts for many many months. Their inventory is getting sky high and it’s becoming problematic. People are not spending like the boom years of the pandemic. These manufacturers got used to huge volumes, which are now just choking their distribution network. In return, manufacturers are providing them with discounts and incentives to move product. Paul himself spoke about this in a recent PRS video. Not unique to PRS, all major manufacturers have started or will soon start to adjust inventory and pricing across their dealer networks.
@@pepmasters-999 correct, and not unique to PRS. The correction has been happening for many months and will continue across most brands. Expect all prices to come down, bundles to be offered, sales, etc…especially in the secondary market.
I gotta tell you guys that the best part of my day is when I can watch your videos and you do so many I dont have to wait a week to watch. I live in the states otherwise i would probably spend alot of money at Andertons. I literally just came back from my guitar store where I bought a California tweed combo after watching your video on being a dealer now. (and a video from that Mick guy from that other show there in the UK.) LOL Thanks for all you guys do.
the warm colors on this carpet do a far better job of adding warmth to the room, and helping the colors of the guitars themselves to shine (since we all come here to talk about carpets now)
What about a further discount as these guitars can now be considered as shop demo instruments? As I live in the Channel Islands, VAT will also have to be deducted!😎
One of not many things, I wish I never sold was my old PRS if I had the money I would buy one of the four here ,hard times you do what you have to do for the family
LOl- I know what you mean- every satin finished neck I have is polished to the point it looks like high gloss where my hand rubs it. It's still not sticky like gloss though- which is what I don't like about gloss so- I can live with it. LOL- I guess you'd call it a "hand rubbed finish"- most men are familiar with those.
wait..... "the studio is the closest prs will do the a HSS configuration"..... what about marks fiore ? or are we just talking stock guitars and not signature models
SEs are great guitars, in fact my first PRS was a Custom 24 SE and it was amazing, I don't know why I sold it but I did and that was a mistake. I have had many PRSs since then, fantastic guitars but Wood Library is paying for the fancy wood which you can't even get that fancy with in the UK as all the Brazilian Rosewood ones are for the US only.
Love seeing, and hearing The Captain playing! I remember many years ago when the channel first started. Pretty cool seeing the progress in skill over the years! Love it!
@@BeefNEggs057 if you want a strat, pick up a strat or a strat clone. I've a Suhr SSH, for example. The PRS Studio with narrowfield pickups can do P90ish nohum sounds and sort of strat, if you roll off the volume. If you try one, you can see what's your preference.
@@rocklives8251 ive got a 245 and a 594 that im very happy with. I like the chunkier necks and have been looking at the dgt’s. Always ready to watch another vid on a prs though. Especially when i get to watch pete cut loose. Lee has really picky up his chops also.
Why would you want to buy same guitar, just a bit more detailed, same sound... At least go for a Les Paul Custom, at $5000, if going for only Custom Shop.
You already know that the guitar is not worth the money and that you’re just paying for names when the price can be reduced by £1200 Those guitars were probably in stock forever and at this point they’re just trying to sell them to someone. Absolutely not worth it.
Epic deals, or stupidly overpriced to begin with and not selling. PRS's relationship with mark tremonti and the world's most uncool Christian rock band Creed legitimately hurt his business with godless heathens like myself that absolutely despise mark Tremonti, Creed, and anyone ingnorant enough to support such awful music.

I’d buy the guitar with perhaps an e scooter as a bonus.

Just paid for my son's chefs course and for a family holiday .....Nooooooo!!!!!!. could have added to the two guitars I bought back in October.
Those guitar lesson are paying off for the captain. Each time I hear him play he gets better and better.😊

Now, I can properly drive my $100,000 SUV to the bar, and use my $10,000 guitar to play/sing blues about how life sucks!
Can't get rid of them, eh?
that purple is drop-dead gorgeous
and OUT OF STOCK 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Purple Iris is the best PRS color
The carpet is back!!!! YESSSSS
most important thing about this video is that the rug is back!
Hmm, but when did they shoot it?
Now, just need to get back the brown wood backdrop.
Dentists and lawyers have now more options 👌
7:21 I really like these chords here; simple but beautiful 😍
PRS Studio are great guitars, narrowfield pickups are very versatile, you can use the volume to achieve a great palette of tones

Those narrowfield pickups are pretty unique sounding. I like stuff that’s different like that.
Lee’s soloing is really good these days. Very melodic and not short of ideas.
ohhh sweet lord, my favourite model guitar and my favourite finish all wrapped in one. brilliant
Think you need to do a video about the rug
Narrowfield not nearfield and 58/15 low turn not 85/15 low turn Lee… but otherwise you got it spot on 🤔😋

I love the feel of my satin finish PRS... I don't love that you can see where the heel and fingers have buffed the finish.

Those Satin Studios are killer looking!! 🤤
7:35 now that is a tasty riff
I love the colors, but I prefer a glossy finish. Satin finishes look incomplete to me.
That’s a good start, you guy’s used to do the best intro’s, now it’s 90 seconds and it’s over. Bering back the long freestyle opening jam.
When he said the case is included in the price I nearly fell off my seat what a bargain 😂
I would love some Satin PRS Special :D
nice axes guys, loved the vid.
I'll give you a couple of quid for the purple one! PRS make the Mark Latori, can't remember how to spell his name, and that's an HSS
C for covered humbucker, possibly
same thought......also maybe chrome humbucker
It’s not a C. It’s a 0 with some ink rubbed off. The picture of it with the tag shows the number better.

When you pluck prices out of your rear end, you can afford to pluck discounts from the same place.
But, wood and lacquer sure does help! 😁

If you roll off the volume, narrofield pickups are more stratty.

Stupid expensive, over priced what a joke
Obligatory "The Captain has gotten so good!" post
Bam!
Unfortunately PRS has out priced their fan base.
Plenty of rich liberal professors that took all your money in the great scam that can afford it.
Still too dark in the background!! Really the dark panel is ruining your lighting. But the carpet is a small improvement.
The background would be ok if they didn’t wear black sweatshirts
