Making one for each of my girls...one at college that plays soccer for St Louis Lions in girly soccer stuff and one in 8th grade that plays volleyball for state and school! Then I'm doing a small purse size for my daughter that prefers a book for adding soccer and volleyball events than her phone! Just love these!
So, so pretty Susan. I alter composition books myself with a totally different style but very pretty also. You inspired me to try your way with those beautiful , calming colors. Thank you for sharing with us.
I've watched a ton of these videos on altering composition notebooks and have to say this is the best! This is what I've been looking for, thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Trish! Thanks for your sweet comments! I can show in another video how to glue the pocket, but if you want to make one today, here are the directions...I take 2 of the pages of the composition and glue the edges, top and bottom, to create a pocket. Then glue the cardstock on top of composition pocket you just made. Super easy and so fun! Hugs, Susan
Hi! I just found your channel, and I adore it already. The aesthetic is very pretty and soothing for the eyes. Your journal is so gorgeous and inspiring!
Loved this video. Yes, it was inspirational, beautiful and positive messaging. Thank you so much. Could you show us how to glue and do the open pocket pages? Also, I found you telling what card stock and weight very helpful information. Keep up the good work.

You are quickly becoming one of my favorite crafters! I happen to have a composition book in my supplies and I've been wondering what to do with it. I have a good friend who loves notebooks so I'm going to use your inspiration and create a notebook for her based on your version. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us!
Oh Susan, so glad you shared this! I've been meaning to make one for a couple of years, but haven't. This has inspired me. Right now im waiting on cataract surgery on both eyes. So thing are hard to see or focus, but maybe something quick like this wouldn't be too hard. Probably won't be fussy cutting any thing but maybe use all my ephemera that has been cut... Thank you again for sharing your ideas and talent.💕
Hi Terre! So sorry to hear about your eyes. Hopefully your surgery will be soon. I bet it is hard to see and focus. Using your already cut ephemera would be a great way to make one of these altered composition notebooks. I'm so glad this has inspired you! Hugs, Susan

Hello from another Susan. Your channel showed up today for the first time; I'm not at ALL into paper crafts (YET!!!!) so I'm not sure why it showed up, but I enjoyed the video. It kinda made me want to try this craft, if I can figure out a way to do it without buying a bunch of supplies LOL. Yah, I know...cheap charlie here.
Hi Susan!!! Not that much is needed really. Glue, images, scissors, trims and your imagination to create what you would like to have. I am glad you enjoyed it. Welcome to hellosuan!
@@hellosusan thanks so much! Susan is my middle name, the one I got called when I was in BIG trouble LOL. It was also my grandmother's name, and she never got in trouble. Not fair. LOL I still love the name, though -- even if I don't get to use it now. And I think I can come up with some pretty cool stuff to try this with, as soon as I get one of those composition books.
Your journal is gorgeous! You have inspired me now to create my own. Please include directions how you added the pockets and ephemera. I was trying to figure out from your video how you layered stuff. Also, what did you use for glue? How did you attach the ribbon? Ribbon doesn't stick with glue. Thanks!

This is pretty, but did I miss how the general flimsiness of a composition book isn’t falling apart with the heavier altered pages? Maybe the comp books we have here are junk
So beautiful, thanks for wonderful video
