  • Fitted a ProPegs Titanium rear brake tip. It's larger than the stand brake tip so should be easier to press without having to angle your foot in. The titanium construction should be strong and resistant to bending, with an added bonus of the teeth staying sharp for a long time. Installation is very easy, although the tip is a higher than stock, so you'll need to adjust the lever height and brake free play to spec (3-5mm).
    Part Number for 2017 KTM 250EXC: PPTBT/KH001

Sorry to bring this old video up but how does this pedal compare in size to like a 2019 KTM 350 SXF stock tip?

The ProPegs tip extends out about 5mm further than the stock tip. I prefer the ProPegs tip size as I find it easier to find than stock, but it's not so big that you touch it by mistake.

@@TokyoOffroad are you able to get a measurement of how wide the tip is?
      Thank you!

The total width is 43mm (stock is 34mm). But when mounted on the pedal it results in an effective with which is about 5mm wider than the stock tip.

@@TokyoOffroad understood! Which is more than enough. I just feel like the 2019 on my bike is wider than the one on your 2017 in the video. Would be sad if I bought it and it was the same size.

I don't have an SX tip to measure. The EXC (2-stroke and 4-stroke) tips are all the same 2017~2022, part #55413051000 which is what I measured. The main reason I like the ProPegs tip is the teeth stay sharp providing excellent feel. The stock tip teeth become rounded very quickly (due to aluminum construction) and foot slips off easily.

Have you had a chance to try it yet? I have the same problem and think this may help

Thanks. I also find that the pedal is just a little long and need to move my foot forward as well as inward. Pricey little fellows, not much change from $100 here in Oz

nuked nuked - I’ve got big feet (US 12) so the pedal length isn’t an issue for me. Yes, the tip isn’t cheap, but hopefully it’ll last well.

I tried the new brake tip today. Much better than the stock one. Easy to find, grip is very good and you don't need to twist your foot in to use it. Just what I wanted...

I think I may grab one although, I am still entertaining the thought of a clake 2 LHRB setup.
