May I ask you for a bit of help please? I just want to know how to properly record guitar and backing track together so that it blends well. I usually play karaoke track on my phone and record it together with guitar connected with the computer through its sound card. I just want to know how to set up the volume levels of guitar and backing track so that it sounds well. Sometimes the backing track is loud and sometimes the guitar is loud. I use reaper daw for recording. Your advice will be helpful.
Take both the Karaoke and the Guitar recording to your DAW and place them properly. Then ... 1. EQ and Compress your Guitar to achieve a fitting tone 2. Mildly sidechain the track with the Guitar 3. Overall glue them using a final compressor and push the tone however you need. 😊
