I have heard that the property crime rate is up in Bellingham is this true ? Rate it for Safety say 1-10 10 being best and what are the rent costs and food costs out there ?
Rentals for say like a 3bd apartment on the low end for a old crappy one 1,800 and goes up from there. I have never not felt unsafe living here my whole life. I know where to avoid being if I'm alone. I think groceries are expensive everywhere but we do have Winco, Walmart and Grocery outlet if you are shopping on a tight budget. I prefer Haggens over Safeway as the quality is better. The farmers market is always a great choice to get locally grown produce.
I live in Bc and I come to Bellingham a lot. We usually come to the shopping districts, but recently discovered that there are more to see than bellis fair. I am confident to say that groceries and every day goods in Bellingham are now more expensive than Vancouver. Vancouver has far cheaper groceries than Bellingham. I cannot imagine how much more expensive things will be in Seattle or even LA and San Francisco.
