- We head over to Elizabeth NJ to see what's what with Al Santillo's famous Pizza. We went with the 2020 Style Pizza with half meatballs. Is there sausage bread inside?? Now that's the riddle, my lad.

You definitely won't be disappointed. It's takeout only... So it's a grab and eat at your car type of deal. I believe there's a bar nearby that'll let you bring it in and have a few cold ones while you eat as well.

So damn good. 8 minutes, to me, was the perfect cooking time. Not burnt but the crust was so nice and crispy. Ingredients are the real deal... I believe he gets the sausage from a local old school butcher as well.
Looks like a top notch pie, great looking sauage roll as well.
Bro ... I have to say... best I've had. But we're hitting Brooklyn in a few weeks. That could be some serious competition.

i dont get why people go crazy over santillos. It's a decent pie. Went there a second time to see if im off but nah...still just decent, an average brooklyn spot would smoke it any day of the week and twice on sunday lol!
It's definitely good if you're in the area but not another drive. You're absolutely correct because I would drive to some spots in Brooklyn for a pie.
