- Hello Everyone!
This video is the seventh one in a series of videos discussing the engineering thermodynamics. Here, I will introduce the Clausius inequality, define entropy and discuss the increase of entropy principle. Then I will get in to the topic of change of entropy of pure substances, introduce isentropic processes, discuss the Gibbs T-ds equations, and finally, present reversible work for steady-flow devices, Bernoulli's equation and isentropic efficiencies.
Please make sure to check my entropy recitation video, where I solve a few problems here:

great video,,,,thanks a lot
Is it possible for you to upload videos also for the topic of exergy? Your videos are the best!
I will try. I am very bad at this UA-cam thing haha.
@@WannabeProfessor86I don't think so, I recommended your channel to many friends of mine:)
@@mustafakoseoglu7608 Thank you :)
Excellent video. But we need lectures on gas power cycles.
Thank you. Hopefully I can upload something soon.
How about otto cycle? Is that needed?
I'll try to upload a video on the cycles too.
Hello, Prof! I wanted a clarification, is the entropy of an irreversible H.E. lesser than zero or greater than zero? Hope this will be answered. Because in our discussion the entropy of an irrev is greater than zero and always positive.
That's a great question. The entropy generation of every irreversible process is always positive. As a matter of fact every real process has a positive change of entropy (change entropy is different than entropy generation) unless the process has negative heat transfer. Taking heat out of a system is the only way to reduce the entropy of that system.
Hope this helps.
gg lecture. this is my secret success tips now:)
Glad I could help.
