    GOD bless you for this. Everyone keeps telling me this is the same as Sorrel and it is not. I had this in egypt and been searching for recipe. Gonna try your way and pray it takes me back to my memory of the the Karkadi (spelling)

      Hibiscus is a natural ph indicator...adding acidic lemon juice turned it into vibrant red...and if any basic solution was added it would have turned dark green or black...

    Very nice, thank you. I like how you tell to be careful if you have low blood pressure. I have high, blood pressure and take a pill with potassium to lower it, so I should be careful about drinking this tea. But I want to stop this medication. This tea will be helpful.

    Thank you for sharing, Hibiscus comes in many different colours. Is only the red type that can be brewed as a tea ?

      I should have shown that. All you have to do is remove the green part at the bottom and the yellow stamen which has the seeds. Now wash the leaves with water.
