    great sport, physicality of football, the endurance and stamina of soccer, the hand skills and speed of hockey, the man and zone defenses- picks and footwork of basketball...all blended together.

    Lacrosse has an awesome history. it was initially played by North American Indians (in Canada) and it was a super violent and awesome sport without any safety rules. The game was meant to be symbolic of warfare and games would last for days without stopping! It was created to be brutal and intense, and to this day it's one of the most hardcore sports being played. I currently go to school in San Diego and you don't find many Lacrosse teams here but it is definitely gaining popularity.

    This video inspired me. Im in my third year of lacrosse, and ill be playing on my junior varsity team. in my first two years of lacrosse i hadnt scored a goal and i was playing at attack. I was thinking of quitting but my dad showed me this video and that week I scored 4 goals for my team in one game. When i played that game i kept thinking of how hard these guys work and how they always give it there all. So im still playing lax today and i plan to take it to college thanks to u guys. Thank you

    And I also want to see people tell me that swinging a baseball bat and running to second is harder than running down field in a full sprint and being able to catch a pass with the stick and then dodging defensemen, who have every reason to bash your head inand take the ball from you, and then make it close enough so that you can rip the ball at 100+ mph at goalie in hopes that you nailed a shot good enough that it slides past their stick. Or dump it off to an attack in a situation where defense overwhelms you and you can't slide by. Lax is hard, its brutal, you have to literally plan and act on the fly, no time for second thoughts.

      Pal, looking for sport where you get beaten trying to score a goal but without any equipment then try handball (not that pussy sport where you bang the ball against the wall) not this Harry Potter sport :)

  • @Thesteeke

    haha say that to dan uggla, ryan braun, or bo jackson probably the greatest athlete of all time. yeah there are some fat baseball players, but trust me almost all baseball players especially pitchers are in the same or better shape than lacrosse players. why would the greatest basketball player of all time retire from his prime to play baseball? there are good athletes in every sport you cant stereotype based on your biased opinion

  • @Thesteeke
    @Thesteeke 11 років тому

    lacrosse might take more skill than rec baseball but once you get past that it becomes the hardest sport in the world, i want to see you try and hit a round ball with a round bat, both 2.5in in diameter, going 95 mph which means it takes .4 seconds to go 60 feet and the batter has .15 seconds to decide to swing or not, but in most cases the pitcher releases the ball 53ft away from the player meaning the batter has about .35 seconds to react. look up brendan ryan highlights and tell me thats easy

  • @23stuartlittle
    @23stuartlittle 11 років тому

    They're two completely different sports. Baseball requires tremendous talent and players body composition effects their role on the team. A DH (who's fat shit) is used to drive in runs when lead of hitters get on base (Their role). Baseball is a very mental game and its also strategic. I used to play lacrosse and I don't dislike the game but a lot of the players are cocky fucks and some baseball players are too.

  • @killzone904
    @killzone904 11 років тому

    I respect both sports but this video would litterally be the same for any college sports program whether it be lacrosse, soccer, football, baseball, anything really. One argument I do stand strong by is that it takes a tremendous amount of talent to play baseball, much more so than lacrosse. While lacrosse is much more physically demanding, baseball players are usually some of the greatest athletes in the sport programs

  • @ghs589
    @ghs589 12 років тому

    I play college lacrosse and i will say I've met better athletes that play football and basketball, but there are great and athletes in every sport stop bitching whose is better i also play softball during the summer so much respect to third basemen and short stops getting line drives flying at there face. Respect the time and work d1 athletes put into their craft no matter what it is.

  • @Free411
    @Free411 12 років тому

    I don't see why your trying to act like that's a shortcoming for football players....each sport entails a different requirement for athletic abilities. Sure football players may not be able to run as long as you guys, but they have way more power than you guys do. And just like you guys for the most part have more endurance. It's not that one is better than the other, so when you lax "bros" say you would "wipe the floor with fb plyers" that sounds stupid.

  • @Free411
    @Free411 12 років тому

    I was an AT major, I spent an entire season watching men's lacrosse and working with athletes....I know you guys' capabilities and yes there is hitting in Lacrosse, but don't sit there and act like the hitting is anywhere near football. And when you say that couldn't keep up with lax players that's the most ignorant comment ever, depends on which position your talking about. Yea, if your going to take an LB or DT sure, but guys like Chris Johnson and Desean Jackson would smoke any lax player.

  • @laxlegend93
    @laxlegend93 12 років тому

    not 10x harder, but hockey is a harder sport to grasp than FIELD lacrosse. BOX lacrosse on the other hand is a whole different story. Box lacrosse is a much more skilled game than field lacrosse, and it is much harder of a game to learn than field lacrosse as well as hockey. BOX lax is also more aggressive than hockey and way more aggressive than field. Thats why i dont play field. Fields boring to me. I love both box lax and hockey tho and i play both. Great sports

  • @Jayangelo1
    @Jayangelo1 11 років тому

    i'd like to see you successfully catch a ball going 60+ while running and then dodging through 5 guys hammering you with sticks and then shoot a 110 mph shot

  • @Thesteeke
    @Thesteeke 11 років тому

    no but i think they would want their athletic programs to succeed at a very high level, plus kids at duke, stanford, and vanderbilt probably have 33-35 act scores considering the acceptance rate of those programs. what im trying to say is that even though schools are very highly rated academically kids should still work on more than academics

  • @chris_k123
    @chris_k123 11 років тому

    in fact u are wrong. i said u hit a ball and run bases in baseball. in lax u faceoff make logical passes score goals etc. also if ur a goalie try catching an upto 111 mph ball being thrown at you. and you say try to hit a 95mph fastball well sir you dont hit 95mph fastballs beacause your probbobally 5 years old
