My wife 49 went through the same at only 4 months remaining. Initial was denied, recon denied and Alj approved. During the process she had major surgery related to the condition. The attorney argued her condition after surgery that was inevitable and was approved from the earlier date!!! 👍
Excellent OJust! And this is why we have an appeal process! I would also add that smart (or incidental) usage of the interim time period, like Recon, like waiting for hearing, is So important. It should never be idle time!
I’m 60 my DLI is December 2019, my ALJ hearing is September 5th 2024. Hope to prevail or I’m out of options other than trying to work. My initial application was April 2023
I wish you could have done something easy, just to make about 500/month to have avoided that remote DLI. BUT, you DO still have your hearing, and your lawyer has EVERY reason to make it as strong as possible and prevail for you. Fingers crossed!
