Hi Jen! The collector dolls are basically a finish doll for a specific line. The first one was from Winter Disco, the "Elvis" from the Remix/Music dolls and Nye Queen ends the Movie line :) I hope that will clear Things a bit up 💜 Hugs from germany

I really have been on the fence about this doll because I am running into space issues but as usual you have convinced me that I have to get her! I think it was so nice of you to give your doll to a good cause. The reality is that we do what we do in good faith and can't control what anyone else does.

I have her and I am so in love! I got the 2020 version, too, but NYE Queen is soooo gorgeous. I was lucky to get her for 42 Euro on German Amazon. My partner still thinks they are cursed but what does he know? 😂

I was ready to write her off with last year’s gold lame holiday Barbie but WOW. NYE Queen is miles better! Better clothes, better stand, better box art, better EVERYTHING! And all for the same price! I’m so impressed with her!!!! I swear you’re going to make me start collecting lol dolls at this rate!!!

Oooh great timing!!! I have the tweens too I just gotta find time to film. It's a lil crazy over here trying to catch up. We just got the tweens and I have to edit all the other things I filmed that we got late. Sometimes I stress myself out when my reviews are later than everyone else's lol. But I can't control shipping and I put a lot of work into my reviews like a week per vid minimum so... I gotta be nicer to myself 😅🤗🤞

Okay, you see - I from completely different country and I absolutely don’t understand why charity will need a rare doll. Charity about lifesaving features - food, clothes, homes, medicine not collector dolls 🤔
I think it was to put up for auction with other special things to raise more money for a charity. I used to work for one and did stuff like that alot. Make up big baskets full of goodies and then do ballet boxes $1 a ticket and you can buy as many as you like. We did like 30 baskets and then 50/50 draws and other things too. Raised over $27,000 that night. All for a great cause too.

We have to remember when the Elvis doll came out it was during Remix, a whole line about different genres of music. To me a doll inspired by Elvis makes sense cause of how big he was in the music world during his time. Heck I pretty sure there still people today who love his music. I think it would have been weird if they have not made a doll inspired by a music icon.
Plus he still fits the royalty idea since he’s “the king”!
I also liked it better without the plastic piece, too.
The Dollist sent me her and she's so beautiful for $50 she killed it!

I have the girly Barbie from the fashionistas 2009 line, but I need advice from like ANYONE, or Jen. She has the rubber band in her hair and she’s perfect condition but I don’t know if I should take it out or not because I heard they disintegrate, but I also don’t wanna loose the authentic hair style. What should I do?
Hey there. I had some hair bands disintegrate on my Polly pocket Barbie's and decided to replace them, but if you don't want to open your doll and the band's look good for now, then I'd leave them alone.

For collector regrets, I wish I would have bought some Silkstone Barbie Fashion Model Collection dolls, which ended in 2020 after a twenty year run. I just got a few of the last ones. They are mostly over $300 CAD now on eBay, with some over $1000.
Oh man, they have some gorgeous ones, so I feel that. I never bought them because sadly they aren't in my budget, but one day.... One day 🤞
Well, Elvis was the "king" so you don't get more luxurious than that. This doll is lovely though, and I like how none of them have been Christmasy, just special display dolls.

@@marzettik oh my gosh don't worry I will be I'm delayed but I will be. I saw everybody getting them earlier than they were supposed to have been on the shelves and I started to feel so bummed. Then my friend who lives a couple hours away found them at a local Walmart but I still couldn't find them anywhere, until last week when I picked up all four. I've been having some pretty bad migraines lately but I'm hopeful to start getting caught up on videos soon. I hope you will be able to find some locally or maybe on Amazon.

I love her fur coat (one of the best OMG clothing pieces ever) and her hair.
The only piece on this girl that is a bit dubious for my tastes is the corset thing. Barbie did something similar for their holiday dolls and I dislike it a lot. She looks way better without it, I didn't know it was removable!
Yes that and the shoes weren't my favourite but luckily we have the 2 piece option.

This one is nice, But not as nice as Crystal Queen. The Juke Box one sat on Australian shelves being reduced for clearance over & over, I just don't feel like it was as pretty 🤷♀️. This one is kinda ok, It'll be interesting to see if it sits on shelves languishing like the last one. MGA is usually really good at getting things right, But the last couple of years of these? Meh.
Oh wow, I'd have loved those reduced prices. Funny enough I like the holiday dolls MGA had been giving us way more than the holiday Barbie's. Honestly I really haven't like any for almost a decade now.

Why did she restart buying from LOL OMG dolls?
Hi there☺️ I explained this quite awhile back now. Basically I was over LOL Dolls and their lack of quality control, so I don't really look at those anymore unless something really new comes out to show what ppl can expect. The OMGs I always liked and had way less when it came issues, usually minor things (unlike getting two left legs or completely glued limbs like I've had on the little dolls). I always thought they were better quality and offered way more play functionality for kids and fashion/display and possibility options for collectors.
After I quit on LOLs for almost a year I was eager to check them out again when I learned they were coming out with better reusable pkg options and better quality control. So far things have been ok and I've been enjoying the new collections.
