  • This is my last hunt at this old site… I’ve found so many coins and relics from this site over the years… I may be back but for now… new sites are calling and the grass is already so long (too much resistance) #metaldetecting #detecting #treasurehunting #detectingfinds #manticore

      I sort of can because I just can’t grid it. So I miss heaps. And sometimes the kangaroos have trampled a whole new area for me to swing I couldn’t previously get to. There’s actually this whole back section I’ve tried to get into but it’s so overgrown and never slashed. I rkn they dumped more rubbish there too. I was pretty exhausted after this hunt. So many holes later to find these.
      Happy hunting. I’m back out to a new site this week. I went last week but didn’t find 10 targets so no vid! I’ll try again in another spot that was winking at me. Cheers JJ

    Beach hunts sound good… I get it when the ground is hard and your filming too 👍

      It’s not my usual hunting beaches but I do enjoy it when I get there. But it’s a 2 hour plus drive away and I don’t get to study the beach and the cuts and the tides etc. Hope you’re great and your hand is making good progress.

      The cars and other larger targets are the first I find I rkn. It’s the small sneaky silvers that run away from me and hide. Hope you’re great as always and happy happy happy hunting mate 😃👍🌺

    Well done Camille. Congrats on snagging the two silvers. The ram looks in great shape. That hinge would be interesting if it opened. Nice bit of fancy I saw on it. Tough going. Take care mate 😁👍

    Great job on the 1952! I love those when you hear the little kiss of high tone and it might be a nail, but then again, BOOM! Something cool that many detectorists would have missed. But you didn't!!

    • @10TargetsDetecting
      @10TargetsDetecting  12 днів тому

      Thanks! I find I’ve got to dig dig dig everything with a high tone even the clip clop as the coins on their side or in the hole with other metal trash give a sketchy signal but still worth the dig. Happy hunting!

    For a site that you've hit pretty hard, it still has some treasures to give, and i would keep returning to it, we tend not to be able to help ourselves when we find a sight that give so much in the beginnings and for several hunts afterwards, And it keeps whispering, come back, come back, and you cant resist. Ive been doing that with my last best site for a couple of years,with no great success, but still finding targets, not good one's, but targets just the same, And the question I ask myself is, if I've missed those targets before, then what else have i missed. Its not as much fun as a new untouched area. But nothing lasts forever. So enjoy them while they last! Cheers Camille!

      This is so true. It is whispering to me to return. And if you miss the trash I do wonder what else could be there. I’ve been driving out of town to another bush site. Not enough targets for a video. But enough good ones to keep me returning there wondering what else there might be. Have a lovely weekend

    I don't understand how the silver came up in the 60's? Did I see that wrong or is that the target ID that came up on that coin?

    • @10TargetsDetecting
      @10TargetsDetecting  12 днів тому

      Sometimes with the high sensitivity combined with a high recovery speed (due to all the trash in the ground - nearly every single hole has rusty nails and other scrap in it) the TID’s are all over the place. I don’t find much consistency. I’m actually not a big fan of target id’s ranging 0-99.
      The pennies come in all over the place and so do the silvers. I can only usually use it as one of the manticores guides and focus more on tone and the 2D screen. Do you find the TID’s consistent with lower sensitivity?
