I'm so glad you made this prep video first, gives me an extra week to finish up my WIP and give this project mu undivided attention..counting down to this Saturday! ❤
Oh that's great to hear! I was worried everyone would be unhappy because there wasn't any stitching in the part, lol. I love your excitement - thank you!
I know, right? I had more fun with the thread than I did with the fabric, which surprised me. I just kept dyeing more thread, and more thread, more colors, more variations, lol. I finally had to narrow the choices down so I wouldn't completely overwhelm everyone!
DYEING WITH TOMBOW MARKERS. I gasped OUT LOUD when I got another kit from you and found out that's what you were doing. Genius. And it now seems so obvious.
It took me YEARS to figure this out! I have tried so many times to find a way to easily dye threads that didn't involve complicated dyes and multiple steps!
Well you weren’t kidding about the pink not being very cooperative! In the bin it went. 2nd attempt looks much better 😅 I really should’ve listened better or rewatched the video before starting 😂🤦🏻♀️ hoping it dries well!
that darn pink! it was a little traumatic, especially because i'm using the preprinted and *thought* I had been careful. I think it's ok now. I actually rinsed mine out and then added more blue.
You've probably already done it, but they will turn out great! Dyeing the thread is so much fun, and honestly there are no mistakes - they all look pretty!
Hi Angie - I don't think it really matters, but honestly I didn't test that. I always just sprayed my fabric relatively soon after coloring it. But I truly think that the color would still move through the fabric just the same if you waited for a time after coloring it.

Yeah, that pink...love it and want to give it a stern lecture at the same time! I'm glad your second try was better!

Oh gosh I am so nervous to dye my own thread!

Question - after coloring the fabric, can you wait to spray it or should you do it right away?
