I was not a great putter, but worked on it while I was recovering from hip surgery. What I found worked for me ( putting style is personal) was fitting Kotahi grips to my mallet putters and using the " palms up" grip. Suddenly my misses were fewer. I have a cheap Wilson midway 41 " arm lock putter, my dabble into the concept. I found using the "palm up" grip on the lower hand on the armlock grip seemed to work well, reducing my tendency to roll the trail hand. You are right about taking time to come to grips with a different putter. I have a Gravity Golf Arc Master which requires a body rotation to work well. It works for me, but when others try it, or my arm lock putter, they feel all at sea after a few putts and dismiss the concepts.
I’m a blade guy through and through and noticed in pt2 you’re using the Flo. We’re you initially a blade guy and didn’t get along with it? Going to order either the pro or the flo M. You’re the best, thanks.
I really love the look of a blade too, but the heads are way too light when put in an armlock for my liking. Head weight is why I use the Flo C. Thanks for watching.
the putter head for Flo is over 400 grams...that is way heavier than other putters. Do you think this helps your putting, and Flo head is the way to go?
The heaviness definitely helps when you have a very long, heavy shaft and a heavy grip. The pro head is way too light for me and the DW also feels a little light for me in the armlock. A lot of people go for the DW in armlock though.
Just ordered the Flo through Sik with the LAGP shaft. I had to go to 9 degrees of loft because I am a big guy and my forward press is more than most. I am a 3 handicap and putting is the worst part of my game. I enjoy your video and am hoping I fall in love with the armlock. I have played a cobra armlock about a month ago but the lie angle and lift on it wasn’t right for me. Are you still using yours and has your speed gotten better?
Yes I’m still using mine, but recently I played a couple of rounds with a standard putter. It made me realize that I need to stay with the armlock. I’m so much better on short putts and my long putts were probably worse with the short putter.
@@SydneyGolfTech Yes, I had a Cobra armlock putter that wasn’t set up for me for about a month before getting fit for the SIK FLO. While I am waiting for the Sik to be built I went back to a standard length putter and only then realized how much less stable I was. I am hitting everything way to hard. Can’t wait for the Sik to get here. I only went to the Sik putter because of your video on how your start lines a much better. That has been my main issue. By the way, I had old clubs in my garage and traded them in through SIK’s trade in program (Second Swing). I was able to get $800 for clubs not being used. So the $1100 Sik putter only cost me $300. Take care
I have a lot of hand movements in my putts, and also come from out to in under pressure. Would you say the armlock would help with m putting. And also how critical is fitting.
Armlock is here to stay. My results have been amazing since making the switch. My putting has held me back for a few years and it’s no longer the case. I’m breaking par more than I have in a long time and really enjoying my golf.
I’m currently using a ping anser 2 and I’m a really good putter, usually average around 2 putts a green per round, should I switch to armlock? I’ve tried it many times and it always lingers in my head.
I don’t generally recommend changing something that is good, so if you are a good putter, why change? However, if you would like to make the switch, make sure you get some guidance with somebody that has experience with them. They require a slightly different technique.

@@SydneyGolfTech thank you!
have you still got it? have you stuck with the Armlock?
Absolutely. I’m still holing putts from all over the place 😃

Armlock could help and fitting one is critical. However, a good putting lesson could solve a lot of problems too.
would love to be fitted but in another state
I can do an online fitting for you. It’s something that I have developed to help people like yourself.
are you still recommending the arm lock or go back to normal length putter shaft?
