I have the AE1 MKII Reference and it's a sobering experience hearing the lifelike realism and sheer musicality these monitors are capable of. My Conrad-Johnson MV55, AE1's and Rel Strada III are a match made in heaven.
Fantastic comparison thank you for sharing. For me the newer AE1s were more resolving and handled vocals more realistically and sounded more lifelike, but both sounded superb. But, the old ones do look much better. And by the way superb channel, please do more A/B comparisons. Especially iconic hifi equipment like this.
What I can here thru my Sennheiser IE800 that ae1 classic have more soundstage and more brighter than reference, much cleaner sound and wider. Thank you nice job
Great video comparison! Maybe not easy to judge over the internet with headphones, but the Ref are more full bodied, with more bass but slightly less detail in the high end. The AE1 have a crisper more detailed high end and sound more realistic with sax and the edge of notes on the striings. Both sound superb though.
I couldn't agree more, just a matter of preference, I did think the AE1 would be the winner, but really it could well come down to the type of music played
Correct， i totally agree that AE 1 ref has a better and more power bass and also has better separation in the low frequency region, and less forging of sound played with poor quality Cd recording.

Correct, i agreed that the old AEs have good dynamic power with involving and musical mid-rang and high frequency sound produced.

這兩對AE1都還沒有開聲，聲音緊、放不開，相信RUN後開聲會更好的表現，我自己有一對早期錄音版本的，從樂友處拿到後只有訝異聲音沒開，又緊又難聽，但是用bi-amp方式來操，開聲後讓我直接放棄DYNAUDIO的喇叭！

The reference serie have more body, full and tight bass but sligthly analytical on the high side.

我是闭眼听的，切换在你换箱牌之前1~2秒对吗？AE1 Classic明显好过REFERENCE 1，REFERENCE 1中高音突起带鼻音，超高却反而上不去。AE1 Classic平衡好多，低音稍弱，但书架箱低音都好不到哪去，算不上大缺陷。非常好的对比，但AE1 Classic之后这厂、这牌子算是废了。😂😁
怎样做到无缝切换喇叭的？完全没停顿

class AE1的人声比R的通透，声音甜美，R的反应速度快分析力强，敲击乐鼓声超给力，但音源不好会听出来很多高频噪音,估计跟新的单元和少了倒相孔有关。
