Hes just a good all around player. Has a calmness to his game like a seasoned vet.
Definitely a guy that’ll play even better with pros around him he’s playing slower than he wants to so his teammates catch up but it’s a good thing cause that teaches pace!

Why must people always compare players to the best All Stars of the NBA. How about he plays like Cade Cunningham. Luka was playing pro since he was like 16 the chances of him playing like Luka his first few years in the League are slim so why put that pressure on him I don’t get it.

His demeanor and attitude is nothing like a freshman ! Cool calm true point guard ! never too high never too low
He’s not a Ben Simmons or Luka at all. The closest comparison I can think of is grant hill. Cade is not a point guard, he attacks and scores like a true small forward, he just happens to have excellent court vision and pace. With those two tools it makes him most lethal at the point guard spot, but he is not a PG whatsoever. His jumpshot is looking much smoother and he’s shooting with way more confidence. Would love to see him play against better comp tho and see if he can take over games cause rn he just looks bored.

he really doesn't play like Luka at all, he's a big playmaker sure, but not on the same level Luka is or was. He looks closer to Lonzo but with better half-court creation
I think he compared Cade to Luka because Cade just like Luka lets the game come to him which is why it looks like he is playing in slow motion.

Cade plays with steady pace like luka, but has the ability to shoot the 3 ball well. He also likes to use the no look pass a lot, and he thrives in the passing lane on defense, with his athleticism.

I don’t wanna overreact but this kid might be the most well rounded prospect I’ve ever seen 😳 literally no holes or weaknesses in his game. 6’8, 220lb PG, athletic, can score on all three levels on or off the ball, can defend pretty much 1-3, elite passing ability, court vision and super high basketball IQ. Cade is the real deal.

I know it's just highlights, which only show the good things(which is the point), but he looks really good. As of right now I think he'll be the #1 pick in next year's draft unless that team doesn't need a PG.

Definitely not Ben Simmons. More of a grant hill type. Cade is a true small forward who plays point due to his vision and pace. Simmons plays PG for those same reasons, but he breaks down the game differently thus his attacks are also different. Simmons is a PG in a PFs body who can’t shoot vs Cade who is a small forward who happens to play PG.

@Uglyboyfredo Ben is good with NO shot so I think he’ll be okay. He doesn’t mind shooting and he shoots off the pnr. Tho not as athletic as Simmons having a decent shot will even out.

Yeah I recognised that, especially his reads to create scoring possessions. His playmaking is A-tier
I respect that he stayed home to play this year but would of loved to see him play in the tourney with a team with a little more talent so you get to see the full range of his playmaking.
He was a part of a class that was top 10, on top of the last year class that was top 25. Their other PG, Isaac Like (#13) is also an NBA prospect and played on the U18 Natl team as a sophomore. They also dominated Marquette who just beat #4 Wisconson
Even with this deep draft class, no way I can see him now going #1 overall. He is a bonafide star. When you make it look this easy in college, that always translates

Luka breaks it down from a swing-guard perspective (think Paul George but a playmaker), Cade breaks it down as a true small forward (Think Grant Hill with better court awareness). It’s a slight difference in highlights, but if you watch more tape you’ll see it’s actually staggering.
I think Jalen Green is better, but teams love playmaking ball handlers with size. He’ll go #1 if he keeps it up.
