What a series this was ...one of the great ones of all time .Intensity off the charts. New Zealands finest moment .I wouldn't be surprised if this is ranked higher than the all blacks world cup wins in New Zealand.
What a test series. First SA vs AB test series in 20 years. NZ up against the newly crowned world champions at home. It almost made up for that loss but it was a comprehensive test series win. The ABs only dropped the last test which was a dead rubber. No Jonah ,they lost Mehrtens and Cullen as well
They targeted the first 2 tests or the series because they didn't want the decider to be at Ellis Park. They actually played 4 tests in a row against the boks and won the 1st 3 of them!
Is it me or did it used to be more physical? It’s not just me. Watching rugby from 20 years ago amounts to one long flinch on my part, especially between these rivals. That’s not my experience today. Thanks for this.
Yeah, it was a time when at the breakdown, nearly all the available forwards piled in, rather then the smaller pods of today, leading to more opportunities for a smash and hits!
Amazing isn’t it, the AB’s not puking their guts out on the field, a neutral referee and fuggin surprise surprise, the boks lose. Who’d have predicted that….. lol.

Epic. Thanks Quinny
Two great teams of that Era!👏

This series was history making. 2 of the best rugby nations going at it. Definitely the hardest series I have ever seen
Andre Joubert was pure class
Great All Black pack with Olo Brown
“…bring a whole new team on… call it American football.”
🤣😆😂
Hard to take but well done All Blacks. ⚡💪🏻
Proves they were a great team even without Lomu.
