Thanks for your reaction. She is the winner of Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. I recommend you her song with the name of "aslolan aşktır" video clip version; or "alaturka" which is an acoustic record.
This is one of the performances where you can see that there is little editing is done because it does not need it. Do you see how she plays with the micerofone? where she turns her head and keeps getting close only to get away? That is her showing ofher mastery of both voice and her experience. She knew exactly what she sounds like on her equipment and played in to it making it perfect from get to go. No need for autotune when she is tuning herself like that. I honestly don't know any other singer who can pull off something like that. It is amazing.

This is her 'bit tired after almost 35 years of career' voice. She was fire in her prime, mid-90s thru late 2000s. I mean, not just any fire, 'mount doom' fire, if you know what I mean. :)
She started her music education with opera . But affter famous singer Sezen Aksu discovered her she choosed pop music. Her voice is amazing.

Absolutely. I've been listening to music in other languages my whole life. If the music is good that's all I need. However sometimes I know the words make a big difference in the meaning of a song. There is a project called Doğa İçin Çal (Play For Nature). Many musicians from Turkey and other countries have partcipated in this project in order to keep the nature green, clean and unspoiled. The famous folk songs were arranged with rock and pop sounds. I recommend you Doğa için Çal 4 and Doğa için Çal 8, all of them are awesome but these two are my favorites.
That's a C6 she's belting out (or, boiling up to 😉), for the geeks. Although impressive, that's rather a 'walk in the park' for her, who also sings F6 in 'Queen Of The Night' aria (from Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'). You remember the exploding songbird from Shrek? Yep, that level'o'stuff. 😁
Amazing vocal talent
She is a graduate of the Conservatory. The old professional musician said that when she graduated, the Istanbul Opera and Ballet institution begged her to come. It is not possible to find a bad song because her education is very good. The backgrounds and prosody of her songs are always great. In live performances, you rarely see her out of tone. Not everyone can sing her songs easily.
She actually left the school isn’t graduated from anywhere. She only took lessons for almost every school she attended and then she left.
@@Lady__Galadriel The Mimar Sinan University you mentioned... She graduated from Istanbul University. How do I know? I was at the same school the year she was in her senior year. By the way, the total number of "full-time students" of the school at that time didn't exceed 200 people. Any other problem?
