Thanks for this. I just tried one on at my AD. I was worried about getting one since I did not think you could swap straps because of the unusual design. I mean its a dive watch on a leather band thought it would have been on a bracelet or rubber. That helps me in making my mind up about maybe getting one.
Wow you made the easiest watch to change straps on sound difficult. I had the PO1 and like someone said there are holes in that end piece that’s makes it even easier.
Also, as I have experience with my Laco, rubber straps will work as well. However, because the articulating lugs extend so far, the straps attach further away from the watch head then a normal watch, and you might find that you use all the holes to the last hole on the rubber strap. (as if you have really small wrists) but it's because the straps are too long for a watch with such long lugs. So, you can get a hole punch tool, and add a couple holes to the rubber strap with ease, and it works well on my Laco. Doesn't look weird or anything.
I have seen some BEAUTIFUL bespoke straps for this watch (Aaron Bespoke does incredible work but $$$) but I am holding out hope for a decent metal bracelet!
anyone tried to remove the hood that retains the bezel? Ideally that should come off(and hopefully the bezel wont fall off) and it will look like a normal diver on a nato or something. I am very very inclined to use a pin punch and do something with mine.
Why go through trouble of shoe horning spring bar tool in there remove the spring bar when you could have easily used a small pin to compress the spring bar from the side of the link since the spring bar head is exposed.
Thanks Party Marty! I just picked up the P01 and I'm looking into strap alternatives. Subscribed!

Love it Habibi Marty!
there are holes to remove the pins
But using them you don‘t scratch the watch…

I just did this and tried a couple. Nato of course doesnt work well with articulating lugs. On to french military
A brushed shark mesh would be my choice.
My Laco Atacama has articulating lugs also.

360p video in 2020? Thanks anyway.
Where did you get the strap from?
Not sure now as have many from the past. However, many watch shops carry them.

Hi so is it just a normal strap, just wondering due to the extention off the case
Kaine Lofthouse yes, a regular strap believe it or not. It might be too long depending on your wrist size, but it works fine for me.
