The two toms of Essays One and EssaysTwo (on writing and translating respectively) are mines of precious information and might be, in my opinion, used as manuels for aspiring writers-this is how precise, rich in examples and well elaborated they are. Without mentioning the author’s short stories, which are jewels of prose and shall be displayed as Da Vinci’s Joconde in the Louvre of Literature. ❤

Thank you so much for this gift. There are little interviews with Lydia Davis and finding this video felt to me, indeed, like a very precious gift. Her way of writing and seeing is very unique. This gave me permission to try to write and for this I forever thankful. ❤
