Hope they used 3 liters
31mpg is all he did???? Thought the hybrid was a waste of money and trunk space, bought one with the normal 3.5 V6. Been averaging 24mpg, driving it at 80-85mph and like I hate it lol. Also the V6 is like 2 to 2.5 seconds quicker to 60mph. These are a steal now days, 2013-2016 models with 30-80k miles on them, 1 owner cars, 15-19 grand all day long. And you know the older Lexus crowd generally do all the services on time and take great care of their cars.
As a former owner of the 300h i absolutely hated that car. And the performance of it is a massive joke for the price tag. Horrible car. Infinitis have gotten better lexus has gotten worse.
Happy new year to one of my most loyal UA-camrs!
Tread very carefully with the Audi brand of cars. They look very sharp and stylish, however, is only skin / fascia deep. This is especially true with Audi's.
I have owned brand new Audis (A4 and A6), these are a nightmare, with very poor reliability. If you want to spend that kind of money go for Tesla or BMW i3.
And thats exactly what I did 2013 Audi A6, only its the 2.0 T not the diesel. I almost went with this Lexus though
I find the new es extremely ugly and weird looking.. I cant put my finger on it. I love every lexus but this one ugh
Thanks to you Saudi Arabia! Happy New Year!
Can't do that here.
Thanks and happy New Year!
SH: One of my favorite YT car reviewer.
I've never liked the ES. First gen were toyotas with Lexus badges. Second gen was kind of fake looking. Third gen had a gay looking exterior. Fourth gen had a really femanine interior. And this gen...looks like a GS with no styling.
best in class?? i dont think so BMW 3 series, Mercedes C-class Cadillac ATS are you blind? or just 80 years old and all you drive a huge luxury sedans?
Umm - This is NOT in the same class as those. This is a luxery mid sedan NOT a Compact sports sedan - nice try
Just buy a diesel Audi A6. You will get similar mileage and have a car three years later that will be an easy sell.
Steve, I hope you and your family are enjoying this holiday season. Have a great 2013 and there will be more vehicles that you'll look into, and reviews that we'll enjoy. Take care.
I second Carmel, Steve we wish you and your family a wonderful, joyful and prosperous new year. Thanks for the great reviews in 2012.
what? The Lexus GS competes with the 5 series what does this compete with with any besides the cars i mentioned above?
2013 Audi brings to North America the 3 liter diesel with 240 hp and over 400 lb ft of torque to the A6, A7, A8 and Q5. I'll take the A6 diesel over this Lexus in a heartbeat.
Diesel SUCKS ..and liar companies even more !!.greetings from germany !
The 2013 Avalon is better than this car lol
At least it doesnt look like the last generation!
Are seat cushions hard?
Sweet car. Best in class almost in a class of its own
It would be close to perfect if the price was under $30,000.
i love you
thank you steve
You will soon Steve.
I like the Lincoln MKZ better
